( 10 minutes prior to Allison's fainting )
~ Pat-Car/Carlo's POV ~

The sound of wood on wood echoed throughout the room followed by silence.
' The Church...versus Father Carlo Ventresca, on the charges of murder, fraud and conspiracy against the Church. How does the accused plead? ' The Pope asked.

Silence filled the room. The only noise coming from the almost inaudible beeping from equipment, and flashing cameras. Everyone was waiting for an answer. I looked over at Pip. Thomas and Nicole were standing next to her. She stood still, her hands covering her eyes. Thank goodness they're here. Is Pip okay? I questioned her appearance. I smiled at Nicole, hoping that she would understand what I was trying to tell her - to cheer Pip up. Flashing cameras surrounded Pip, Thomas and Nicole. I started to feel guilty.
My attorney, Hayden, turned to face me and laid his hand on my shoulder.
' Father, please. This judge is someone we would not like to annoy. She gets pissed off easily. Please, do not anything else distract you from this case. '
' Sorry. I-I'm just worried about...them. '
Hayden turned to face Pip, Thomas and Nicole. His eyes widened at the sight of Pip. He seemed attracted to her.
' Oh, Father, do not worry. They'll be fine. Allison can handle this. '
' Alright. '
The judge cut in.
' Order in the court! Is there something you would like to say, Father Carlo Ventresca? '
' No, sorry. '
' Well, stop talking then. '
I remained silent.
Pip removed her hands from her face, revealing her intense blue eyes. I smiled at her and turned to face the judge.
' Guilty. '
People started to shout after hearing "guilty".
' WHAT A SHAME! '
' WHAT NERVE! '
' HE PLOTTED ALL THIS?! SHAME ON HIM! '
I was at the verge of tears. I looked around, only to see people who chose rotten vegetables and stones as their projectiles. Good thing that they don't know how to throw them properly. All of them are not hitting me. Haha.
I looked at Pip. My eyes widened and my jaw dropped.
' HELP! SOMEONE! ALLISON, WAKE UP! HELP! ' Thomas and Nicole shouted.
People surrounding them ran up to them. I could not help myself but stand up and run towards them. As I motioned to stand, the Pope raised an eyebrow and stared at me. The other judges stared at me with much curiosity.
' Sit down, Father. We are not done. They will take care of her. ' The judge spoke.
' No. She's my friend...and I'm going to help her. ' I stood up and shouted.
There was silence. The people in the room stared at me. The sound of flashing cameras filled the room. I ran towards Pip. Her face was pale. I guess...it is my turn to carry you, then. Hahaha. Hayden, Thomas and Nicole ran behind me. We ran through the crowd as fast as we could, avoiding contact with anyone. We left the room and ran towards Thomas' car. I threw her into the back seat...and I regretted doing that because her head hit the door pretty hard.
' Sorry, Pip. ' I mumbled.
Her head laid on Nicole's arms while her feet rested on Thomas' legs. I sat on the driver's seat while Hayden sat on the seat next to mine.
' Where is the nearest hospital? '
' The hospital you were brought to, Carlo. '
' Alright. '
I drove at the speed of light. I did not stop when the red light flashed. As I drove away from the church, I realized something. I didn't...say anything to the judges or His Holiness before I left...oh no.
' Hayden, I didn't tell them...that I was going to leave. '
' It's fine. They probably knew that you were going to. '
' This is going to be the headline for tomorrow's newspaper. ' I sighed.
I took a quick peek at Pip. She was still unconscious.
' What happened to her? '
Nicole sighed.
' I have no idea. She fainted after hearing that word, " guilty ". '
' Oh my. Nicole, both of you are close friends, right? Does she have any kind of sickness? '
' No...as far as I can remember, she hasn't mentioned anything about it. '
' Okay. I hope she doesn't have any, though. When I leave, I won't be able to take care of her. ' I said, placing my hand on my forehead.
' She's going to be fine, Carlo. ' Thomas cut in.
When we reached the hospital, we went through the back door, hoping no reporters or photographers would notice us. We brought her to the same room that I was in, before. I laid her on the bed. Thomas called for the doctor. His name was Renton.
' Do not worry...the four of you. She is fine. We just have to wait...for her to wake up. '
   We waited.
