Ciara POV
Next week is the BET Awards and August and his management were trying to figure out what he was gonna wear.
"I got it!" August says
I look at him confused and he points at me while smiling.
"You can make our outfits" He says
"No!" I say
"Why not? You wanna be a fashion designer right?" He asks
"Yea but there's no way that's possible now,I passed up on the scholarship 3 years ago" I say
"I don't know about this August" His manager says
"Thank you!" I say
"Man her designs is lit as fuck" August says
August goes into my closet and pulls out the book I draw my designs in. He shows his manager and they nod their heads ins sync.
"August no" I say
"Yea,I'm not gonna let you pass up your dream" He says
"How will that help?" I ask
"Did you forget ya man is an R&B singer in the mainstream music industry? When we walk down that carpet people gonna wanna know what we're wearing,I say you,and boom calls left and right" Hs says
"He has a point,you two walk the carpet and that's how the first step will start,show up to a couple more events and you will have people begging for you to design their clothes,and in a way it helps August too,when your time comes the fashion fans will drift towards August cause that's your boyfriend,win win situation" His manager says
"I have no fabric or equipment,sorry" I say
"Which is why we're going to get some" He says
"I'll be back in 2 days to see how everything is going" His manager says
He says bye to us and we get in the car and drive to the crafting store.
"I can't believe you're making me do this" I laugh
"You know you want to do it" He says
"Whatever you say" I smile
Deep down I was excited to do this.
"Mhmmm" He smirks while glancing over at me
"Let's go" He says while turning off the car
We go in the store and he picks out the colors he wants.
"Can you make me 2 outfits?" He asks
"I guess" I chuckle
I pick out the colors for my dress and we leave. We go back to the house and I start working on his red carpet suit,it was gonna be blue and black.
A few days pass and I already have both of his suits done,red carpet and performance. Today I was doing mine then we were gonna fly out to LA.
"How's it coming along?" August asks
"Almost done" I say
"I know it's gonna be great" He says
He sits next to me and kisses my cheek.
Sunday comes along and were in the backseat of his drivers truck with his team.
"We're 5 minutes away,y'all ready?" His manager asks
We nod our heads and I make sure I have everything. August's hair grew out a decent amount so his suit looked even better. When the car stops we get out and August grabs my hand. We walk down to the cameras and August pulls my body close to his.
"August who's your friend?!" One of the cameraman asks
"August look over here!" Another one says
We walk away from the cameras and he approaches Terrance J,he was always my favorite 106&park host.
"I'm standing here with R&B's new favorite guy,August Alsina and his beautiful guest,how y'all doing?" He asks
"I'm good Terrance,just adapting to this new life" August says
I just smile and nod my head,agreeing with August,my nerves are bad as hell.
"That's what's up,who did you bring along with you today?" Terrance asks
August looks down at me and smiles.
"This is my girlfriend Ciara,my go to since birth" He laughs
"I see you homie,August Alsina is official off the roster ladies" Terrance laughs
I laugh and I feel someone hug me tightly from the side.
"Hey bitch!" I hear Nicki say
"Hi Heaux" I smile
"Hi Terrance" She says while hugging
"What's up queen of rap" He smiles
"Hello to you to Nika" August says
"Hey slim" She says
"So August,Ciara,and Nicki who are you guys wearing?" He asks
"I'm wearing Alexander McQueen" Nicki says
"Ciara actually made our outfits" August says
"Word? She got skills! Y'all looking sharp" He says
"Yea she's been making a few things and some drawings here and there,she gon be the next high fashion designer,just wait on it" August says
I smile and he runs his fingers through my hair.
"I would definitely like her to make something for me" Terrance says
"No problem" Augusta smirks
"So what can the fans expect from you and Nicki individually?" Terrance asks
"Well I'm gonna be dropping my album very soon and me and August actually have been in the studio together so that's gonna be a nice treat" She smiles
"Can you give us a hint?" He asks
"It's her favorite song" August laughs
"Alright folks that's all we have! The 2014 BET Awards start now!" Terrance says
We go inside and me and August sit next to Nicki. The award for best new artist was being announced and August was nominated,I hope he wins.
"And the winner for best new artist goes to.....August Alsina!" The presenters yell
Me and Nicki stand up and cheer him on,his speech was really good. About 1 hour into the show and it's time for August to perform. He rises out the stage on a stool and the beat for 'Kissin On My Tattoos' starts playing.
"You know this was about you right?" Nicki asks
"I figured" I chuckle
"Baby I don't blame you for being in the clubs and getting all that love,cause you're so beautiful,God made you to show that off" He smiles while looking at me
"Ci yo man love you" She smiles
"I know" I smile
"It feels so good to see you two happy" She says
I give her a smirk and August ends the song he does 'I Luv This Shit' and surprises the crowd when he brings out Chris and Trey. When he comes back to his seat he lays his head on my shoulder and we continue to watch the show,I was so proud of him.
