That night we had spent at Riley's house; her parents were out of town and we had the house all to ourselves. We believed that to be a good thing, no parents-no rules; at least until it all happened.
Our night had been planned to consist of music, movies and late night conversations. In the middle of our mayhem, Riley's voice became shaky as she spoke.
"Carly, do you hear that?,"she said, " I think someone's in the house."
Her voice became soft and squeaky then a loud bang against the window caught my attention.
"Ya hear it now?"she asked
"Yea I hear it," I said, "I think someone's outside."
"What do we do Carly?"
I slowly got up from the bed and walked quietly over to the window careful not to disturb whatever or whoever was outside. I peaked over the window pane to see a group of people gathered behind the house on the sidewalk. In the moment of shock I quickly closed the window curtains. Their presence was the definition of no good.
After gaining up my confidence I peaked around the curtains a second time. This time someone saw me. My heart raced yet I didn't want to look away and apparently neither did he. Yes, he....tall, dark hair, dark eyes, tan skin, or well that's at least of what I could see. Riley now calls me delusional because every time I'd tell her what I saw I'd go on and on about it but there was just something bout him. I could tell that I'd met him again. What gave me that feeling I didn't know but the look in his eyes that night made me think that he thought the same thing about me.
Riley and I sat quietly by her window that night and watched them until they left. What they were up to that night...only they know.
