Weeks had pasted yet I hadn't forgotten about that night at Riley's. The questions still lingered in my mind; Was Jake the guy I had seen that night? I felt paranoid; how could he be? I swore to myself that it had to be just a coincident that he showed up the day after that night. I didn't worry to much fore I knew that sooner or later I'd find out.
Jake and I had grown close in the weeks pasted, so close in fact that we were off to the movies that night after school.
The final school bell rang and we had our usual meeting outside the football field; me, Dylan, Riley, and Jake.
"So are we still on for tonight you guys?" said Jake with a smile.
Riley and Dylan looked at each.
"Actually, I have a ton of homework due and I have to get it done...maybe another night?" Riley's voice crackled.
I sighed, "Well what about you Dylan? You still up for a movie?"
"Sorry guys, my mom's not letting me go. I have a lot to do at home."
Jake looked at me as Riley and Dylan walked off to their cars.
"It looks like it's just me and you tonight?"
I nodded my head and smiled as we walked to our cars. As I went to get into my seat Jake called out...
"I'll pick you up at 8' then." and he pulled off in his car.
