There are POV switches. I will try not to switch from next time.
Luke's POV (for the first time in 17 chapters) (A/N That morning of Cole's Birthday)
I woke up before anyone did and decided to surprise Evelyn. I made her favorite breakfast and knocked on her door. To my shock, Evelyn was not there. On my way to the living room, I heard her laughing. She was outside, sitting in the porch, talking with Harry. When did Harry wake up? I decided to join them.
"Hey, Good morning." I took a seat in between Harry and Evelyn. Possessive much. "I made you breakfast." I handed her the plate while Harry pulled the plate from her hands and started eating.
"This is delicious." He said while stuffing his mouth. Evelyn just laughed at that comment.
I took Evelyn's hand in mine and none of us spoke and Harry decided to break the silence.
"Evelyn, Should you have taken a different major?"
What is he talking about? I looked at Evelyn waiting for her to answer.
"No, I was curious at that time because of my friend. I have never liked history, Harry." I could feel her being tensed as her hands were slightly shaking.
"What is he talking about?" I asked her.
Just at that time her phone had to ring. "It's my mom." She went back into the house to answer it. Harry decided to answer the question.
"Two or three weeks ago she asked my mother about this site they were going to work on, some very ancient castle. She wanted more information about it. My mother sent me a mail something about it. I was asking Evelyn if she still wanted it. She was pretty curious about it. But now she is all different. I don't blame he..."
Evelyn has been ever so distant from me since she knew about her parents' accident. She never spoke to anyone like she used to. Everyone here can sense it but no one ever brought it up. I cannot blame her too; she was on the verge of losing her parents. But she has to talk to someone.
Last evening, she screamed someone's name, well 'Cole' to be exact. I have no idea who this person is or how is he related to Evelyn. But the strange part was that, she doesn't seem to remember it. She just brushed it off when I asked her about it. I did not want to push her.
"... Anyways I will forward her the mail either way. Do you want to get back inside?" Harry finished the sentence.
"What?" I asked him since I was clearly not paying attention to him.
He sighed and pulled me back inside the house.
A while later everyone woke up and planned to have a city tour later this evening. Right now all of us are busy either A) with their mobiles B) with Laptops C) watching TV D) Kissing ew.. {A/N like Sara in EW! of Jimmy Fallon's talk show} E) doing nothing in the case of Harry.
Evelyn was beside me while going through her mail while I was busy with option C. A few seconds later she called Alex and went to the other room. Girl problems.
Evelyn's POV
I was going through my mail when i saw Harry's forwarded mail from his mother. It read that
'The site which was under the archaeological excavation is now bought by Silas Damon. For any information contact him.'
His company address and email id was along with it. It didn't matter to me until I read the name again. It was Silas Damon. SILAS DAMON. The so called traitor from the newspaper.
