"Hello! I am so glad to meet you! I'm Karrie and my husband over there is Rick. Why don't you come in and enjoy our cheese and crackers!" she said cheerfully.

I stared at then and they looked like they were in their late 30's, yet they were really ugly. The dad had puffy curly hair, dark skin and a bunch of wrinkles. And the mom had red crimpy hair, and brown eyes. It was really, really weird thinking they might become my parents. I couldn't believe i was going through this. I ddin't smile i just walked in with my mom at my side. They had a small house, i was surprised of how comfy they made it look. The living room had a forty-seven inch t.v and one large couch sitting in front of it. I would love to watch football on that massive screen! Karrie bought out a huge platter with (As you guessed) cheese and crackers. I satisfied myself with all i could eat. I couldn't stop thinking of my mom. i wiped my eyes as they spoke.

"So sweetheart, Claire, What are some of your hobbies?" She questioned.

"Umm.. Well, i love soccer, my favorite colors are pink and green, uuh, I love flip flops and i want to be an astronaut when i grow up!" I confirmed.

"Lovely." She replied sweetly.

Then a girl walked into the kitchen. I froze with my mouth wide open.

"Oh! I think you met our daughter!"

I couldn't speak. It couldn't be true. That girl looked exactly like that ghost. I did NOT want to live here. Every detail matched her perfectly with the ghost, except that she has two eyes and no scars. Her eyes looked exactly the same and her face matched the other girl.

"Hi! You must be a girl my mother said she wanted! Nice to meet you!" the girl said.

"Nice to meet youu- too." I choked.

I couldnt believe my eyes. I wasn't dreaming. This was one hundred percent real. I kept on pinching myself but this all was real. It was a perfect match, same height, same face. It was so weird. Was it really that ghost girl? She was their daughter? I tried to sit as close to my mom as possible so that thing wouldn't harm me.

now i know where that ghost is! I thought.

but wasn't that ghost dead? I always remembered seeing a glowing outline of her and she was fairly faded, yet when i see her, there is no outline and she isn't faded at all. My mind was exploding. I couldn't think this through. My head hurt. I just wanted a freaking normal life and what do i get? Hmm. A ghost that was trying to kill my mom, later my mom puts me up for adoption. And now i see that ghost that could be my new sister!? I was crying inside. i was screaming. I just want to be an average human being. What's wrong with that? What did i do? I am a good child. I always do what my mom says. I never lie to her, well maybe once in awhile i lie to her. I just wanted to run away. I wanted to run away and find my daddy. He would understand what i am going through. I would rather live on a street with a sign that said:

"Poor. Begging for food."

i would never want to live here. They seem nice and everything but the first night i sleep there that girl is going to come and kill me. What if we share a room? That would be such an easy target. Me sleeping right in front of her.

Finally, real tears ran down.

"Oh, sweetheart! I know it's really hard leaving your mom." Karrie observed.

My real mom glared at me and smacked me in the back. Making sure They wouldn't see it. i looked up at her and groaned. She smacked me really hard and it hurt really badly.

I don't want to die. I am only in middle school! I just want to live a long happy life. I want to marry someone, have kids. I couldn't take it. I sprinted to the door and ran.

"Excuse me for one second." My mom sighed.

she went out and ran for me. I couldn't believe how fast my mom was in high heels. Probably lots of practice.

"Claire! Claire!" my mom shrieked.

I turned around and saw my mom on the ground screaming for me. I didn't want to run away from her when she was hurt. It would be so mean. I ran back to her and bent down.

"Are you okay?" I asked.

she grabbed me with an amazing grip.

"You're coming with me." she roared.

She tricked me again. That was a really mean way to trick someone, pretending they were hurt. I didn't talk as she pulled me back inside. I can't believe my mom doesn't understand how hard my life is. I'd love to see her go through my life and see how she would react. I sighed as i went back into the house to finish the interveiw. Well, maybe that lady won't want me anymore.

"I like your attitude, determined." She said.

Nevermind. She still wants me. I dug in on the cheese once again as the lady was talking to my mom. I wish i could hear the conversation. All i could see was my mom nodding her head as the lady was talking. The i saw the ghost-girl walking up to me. I'm screwed. I thought. First i had one problem but now i have another. I just stood there frozen as she approached me.

"Hello." She said.

I didn't speak. I could swear she never blinked. I din't know what to do. The lady and my mom were outside. I wasn't thinking. Instead i ran up stairs.

"Wow, that was stupid. I could have just ran outside." I thought.

But it was too late. I heard footsteps getting closer by the second.
