Chapter 6 (Re-Written)

~~~
I was practically sleepwalking on the way to school. Little did I know I was in for a rude awakening. To my surprise, Sara jumped on my back and had me in a minor choke. I had to tap her arm around my neck to have her loosen her hold.
"What the hell is wrong with you?" I shouted. "Shouldn't you be doing this to Drake?" I grabbed the back of her legs and continued carrying her towards the school building.
"Hmph!" Sara huffed in annoyance as she hopped off my back and slung her arm around me shoulder. We continued walking.
"You had a fight, didn't you?" I said, and based on her reaction, I was correct.
"He's just freakishly possessive and easily jealous," Sara complained. "I mean, seriously, if you're a cheerleader, you're bound to get tossed a lot by guys!"
"Did you explain that to him?"
"I did, but all he did was become unreasonable," Sara grumbled, crossing her arms in frustration. Then she paused for a second in her steps and continued as she grinned at me. "How's things going with Alex?"
Great. Sara's matchmaker mode: ON.
"I don't really have to tell you anything about it," I said.
"Oh, come on," Sara pouted, "I was the one who gave him your number."
"And am I supposed to thank you?" I raised my brow at her. "You're pushing your luck, Sara."
Sara just smiled cheekily at me. "You're great for each other. Aren't friends ending up together the best kind of couple?"
"Yeah, sure," I nodded but looked at her skeptically. Then I caught sight of Drake entering the school gates with his school bag and a pink rose in hand. "Speaking of friends, Drake's here. I gotta go and leave you two alone."
I almost jumped in the middle of history class when my phone vibrated in my skirt pocket. I left it alone, but then, it vibrated again after a couple of minutes. Fully knowing who it was, I carefully pulled out my phone and opened my messages.
Alex: Hey.
Alex: Are you busy?
Alex: If you are, I'm still going to bug you though.
Alex: Anna!
Alex: Annie-chan!
Alex: Love!
Me: Quit it! I'm in the middle of class!
Alex: You think I care, love? I'm just pleased that you replied to me even though you were in the middle of class. :)
Me: You should get to class too, darling.
Alex: I have free period, love.
Me: Good for you. I'm stuck with History. I hate you now.
Alex: For being so smart and too perfect for you?
Me: Nope. For being arrogant.
Alex: Just because I had free period, I'm suddenly dubbed as an arrogant person. You're so cruel, love.
Me: Yeah, sure. I'm pretty sure I dubbed you as an arrogant person because of your free period.
I looked up and saw that the teacher was finishing up with his lecture. I returned my phone back in my pocket and paid attention. In the middle of taking notes and listening, I decided that it would be nice to skip a class today again.
