Knock!

For all things that are meaty and cheesy with an Italian twist, let that knocking stop!

I groaned and pulled the covers over my head. I drifted back to sleep rather quickly. Until...

Knock knock!

I screamed—actually screamed—and pulled myself out of bed and stomped my way to the door. I threw the door open and shoved the person who knocked. Who on the Milky Way Galaxy knocks on 6:47 a.m. on a Saturday morning?

Alex, that's who.

Wait. Alex? Again? Stalker, much?

"You better have a f***ing good excuse on why you decided to wake me up!" I cried, clutching my hair to ease the tension on my sleep deprived body. Hey, it actually works. For me, at least.

"Trust me, I'm not a morning person either, but I need help," Alex said. Then he paused and gave me a funny look.

"What?"

"Nice clothes."

I looked down and saw that I was still in my sleeping clothes which consisted of a loose tank top and a pair of lady boxer shorts. I glared at him and slammed the door in his face. I grabbed a robe nearby and opened the door to see him chuckling to himself.

"You look really curvy in those," Alex commented. I really couldn't tell if he meant that as a mockery of my extra fat again or just an actual nice comment which happens only in a blue moon.

"What do you want?" I snapped. "And how do you know where I live?"

"Simple," he answered, "this is the only condominium building nearby, so I asked them which apartment you were staying."

To-do list for today: 1. Kill the receptionist.

"Well, what do you want?" I repeated.

"Umm~ someone mixed up my suitcase in the dormitories during housekeeping, so now while the staff are still fixing up this mess, all I've got are laundry," Alex explained.

"What does that have to do with me then?" I asked. I don't really like where this is going. It's pretty obvious.

"I kinda need help doing the laundry," Alex shrugged sheepishly.

I blinked. He blinked back. We did this about ten times before I said, "No," and slammed the door in his face once again. Trust me, it feels good.

"Come on, Anna," Alex started knocking again. The noise irritated me, giving me a headache. "Save me from embarrassment here, will you?"

"I kinda like the sound of you being embarrassed, so no thanks," I smirked, even though I know that he can't see me.

"Call off the dare?"

I stopped. "Repeat that one more time?"

"Help me with this one, and we'll call off the dare," Alex said.

I threw open the door and shook his hand vigorously. "Deal," I grinned. "Nice doing business with you."

"So, the laundry shop opens at eight," Alex informed. "What do you plan to do while we wait?"

I glared at him. "You could've woken me up at eight then!" I yelled. My voice echoed throughout the hallway.

A door opened revealing Mrs. German Lady. She had curlers in her hair and looked ragged and tired. Oops~ my fault.

"Excuse me! People are trying to sleep!" she scolded. For a German, her diction was excellent, even though the accent was still there.

"Sorry, Ma'am," I said sheepishly as I pulled Alex in my flat. Mrs. German Lady caught eye of it and shook her head in disapproval. She went back in the flat, muttering, "Teen-agers these days." Only then I realised that Alex in my flat looked so wrong.
