~Rayne's POV

As soon as we exited the airport, I could tell this was going to be an overwhelming week. Bill and his security team surrounded us as we walked through a sea of fans and cameras. I could barely see through the flashes. Once we were safely in the limo, I took a deep breath.

"I told you it was a lot harder to travel with me now..." Michael says with a chuckle. "You weren't kidding." I agree, brushing my hair back into place with my fingers. "Where are we going?"

"We're going to the hotel to get settled first, I have a meeting after that but you're probably tired, so you can stay and rest if you want." He smiles. I nod, as much as I wanted to stay by his side today, jet lag was kicking in already. I look out the window at my surroundings. Tall buildings blocking the view of the wide open sky. I mutter to myself, "so different from Cali." Michael chuckles.

Michael had rented an entire floor out of the hotel. We made our way to the room, but I made it a point to walk further. "Hey where are you going?" He asked as I continued to walk to the next room.

"I think it'd be best for us to be in separate rooms. So we don't have any temptations, you know? I'll be right next door." I smile.

"What temptation?"

I smirk at him with an eyebrow raised before he reluctantly agreed. I continued dragging my suitcase inside and flopping on my pillows.

They felt like clouds right now.

"Hey, wake up." I feel a small hand on my back and a light voice in my ear. I grumble a little, pulling the pillow over my head. "Wake up sweetheart." Michael giggles. My eyes slowly open to his warm smile "come on it's like 2 in the afternoon."

"Which means it's only 11 in California" I whine.

"Still seems like a reasonable time to get out of bed."

I groan, pushing my hair out of my face. "Fine.." Michael lays next to me, his forehead pushed onto my cheek, a small smile on his face. "What are you doing?" I ask.

"Hoping this trip will convince you that I will never hurt you the way I did again." He responds, laying an arm across my chest and pecking my forehead. I sigh, "I just need time.." "I know." He pulls me closer to him, snuggling into my side.

"Oh no, no cuddling." I say, jumping out of bed.

"What? Why not?"

"Cuddling leads to kissing and kissing leads to.. You know!" I explain. "That's why we need separate rooms. Now out." I say pushing him toward the door.

"Fine fine fine... After I get some rest, we're going out to eat." He says walking out.

"Can't we stay in, order room service and I can finally finish Peter Pan instead? Just for tonight?" I smile sweetly. I was excited to be in a new state but that flight still had me beat. I could stay in tonight. "I'll even come to your room, but once the movies over I have to leave!" I say.

"Alright. I really wish you'd reconsider this separate room thing." He grins, closing the door behind him. I shut my door satisfied at my self control. As much as I wanted to have sex with Michael, my dad's advice kept repeating and I refused to let Michael weaken my ability to not need him. I held the power right now.
