*Louis' POV*

Natalie. The only girl I was ever in love with. My best friend. My souldmate. We were going to be together forever. How could something like this happen? Why me? Why her? She was the most loving, caring person I had ever met. I sat on our old bed, with my hands on my face. Then a thought dawned on me.

Samantha. How was I supposed to tell our 5 year year old daughter her mum is gone? Tears started spilling out of my eyes like a waterfall, and I couldn't help but just let it happen. I heard someone walk into the room. I looked up to see my bestfriend, Harry looking at me, with sympathy in his eys.

"Louis, I-I'm so sorry. If you need anything from me or the boys, we're here."

"I know Harry. How the hell am I going to tell Sam?"

Harry sighed, "That's a tough one Lou, if you want all five of us could tell her."

"No, I think it should just be me."

"Well, Liam, Zayn, and Niall are on their way here. They picked up Sam for you from school."

"Shit. I forgot about picking her up. How am I supposed to do this? Without Natalie, I'm so lost."

"Louis, you have a lot on your mind right now, I'm sure you'll be a great father, even without Natalie."

Before I could say anything else I heard the door open, and the sound of my little girl's voice. I tried to dry up my tears, and look normal. I didn't want Sam to see me like this. I walked downstairs to see all the boys. Their eyes said, "We're here for you."

Harry motioned for them to leave, him closing the door. He mouthed 'good luck', and left.

"Why did they all leave daddy?" Sam asked me, curiousity in her eyes.

"I have to tell you something, something very important, okay Sam?"

"Okay Daddy, and then can we visit mummy?"

When she said that, my heart sank, "Well, I have to tell you something about mummy."

"What?"

I sighed, "Mummy was very sick. It was like a big monster was inside of her making her feel very bad. You see, Samantha, the monster won. Mummy isn't with us anymore. She's up in heavan, and she isn't sick anymore up there. Which is very good. The only bad thing is baby, is that we don't get to see her anymore."

"So, mummy isn't ever coming home?"

"No, Sam, I'm afraid not. She will always be with us though, right here." I pointed at her heart. I watched her as a little tear trickled down her face. I wiped it away, quickly.

"I want to talk to mummy, I miss her!" Sam screamed at me.

"Sammy, I miss mummy too. It will be okay, it's just you and me now."

Tears streamed down Sam's face, her nose turned read. I tried not to cry, not to let Sam see her daddy break down. I hugged Samantha, and let her cry into my shoulder.

"How about we go out for ice cream, okay?"

"Okay daddy."

After we had ice cream, Sam stopped crying, but that didn't mean she wasn't still sad. She resembled Natalie so much, it was weird. Her long brown wavy hair, and her beautiful blue eyes. She will grow up to be a beautiful young lady.

*Flashback*

"Louis, my head hurts again!"

"Babe, if this keeps happening, you need to go to the doctor! It could be something bad."

"Lou, I'll be fine."

-The Next Day-

"Louis, I don't feel so good."

"Nat, is it your head again?"

"Yeah, I-" I watched her as she fell to the floor holding her head. I called 911.

-

"Cancer? How bad is it?" I questioned the doctor.

"Well, it's pretty bad brain cancer. I'm sorry to say this, but she might not live."

*End of flashback*

"Okay Sam, time for bed!"

"I'm not tired!"

"Sam, if you don't go to bed now, you'll be very tired at school tomorrow!"

She looked at me then ran away.

"Samantha Grace Tomlinson! Come here right now!"

I sighed as I searched around the house. If only Nat were here, she would know where Sam was hiding. "Samantha! You are in big trouble!"

Finally, I found her and scooped her up in my arms. I brought her up to her room and tucked her in.

"Now, since you weren't listening to me, no bedtime story!"

"Fine! Mummy wouldn't do this to me!"

"Well, I'm not mummy, now please Sam, get some sleep! Goodnight."

I closed the door and shut the light off.

I could already tell lif without Natalie is going to be close to impossible.
