The blade in my chest twisted before it was withdrawn, leaving me grasping at my bloody wound as I collapsed on the ground. In seconds, Damien was in front of me, eyes widened as he grabbed me by the shoulders. “Who did this?!” He asked frantically, looking around before his eyes locked back on me. The hole in my chest began to burn and I groaned in pain. He lifted me quickly, moving us back into the living room and placing me on the couch. Damien quickly pulled my shirt up, revealing my wound. Krista came up beside Damien, her cheeks stained with tears. “What on earth?!” Her eyes opened wide, looking between me and the hole in my chest. She leaned close to my chest, touching the wound with the tips of her fingers. The necklace around her neck began to glow and I could feel the pain numb as my skin begin to heal. She began to wince in pain as blood started to stain her shirt. “Krista?!” I sat up, pulling my shirt down. She dropped to one knee, grabbing at her chest. After a few seconds, she breathed in and out deeply and slowly stood. “What the hell just happened?” I asked. “I...I think I absorbed your wound...” “How in the hell did you do that?” Damien asked, looking curiously at the pendant on her necklace. “I don’t know.” She shrugged, then her eyes fluttered open wide. She rushed to Seth’s side. “Maybe I can heal him!” “How?” Michael asked, wiping the wet from her cheeks. “Well, I took the wound from her, I mean it transferred to me but-” “He’s dead.” “Maybe it’ll bring him back to life.” “By killing you too? No. Absolutely not.” “Michael, he’s your brother.” “I don’t care right now. All I need is for you to not die on me too.” She glared at him and moved quickly, putting her hands on Seth’s wound. Michael grabbed her by the waist and pulled her back, “No!” “Let me heal him!” “I won’t let you die too!” He yelled, having turned her around and grabbed her by the shoulders. “I just can’t do that, Krista...” A loud gasp of air caused everyone to jump. The sound came from where Seth was, and his wide eyes brought tears of happiness to our eyes. We all rushed to his side, watching as he revived. He choked on his breathing, sitting up and looking around. “Oh, Seth!” Emily cheered, crying as she hugged him. He looked down at her and hugged her back. He smiled but began to blush as he noticed he was practically shirtless with her hugging him. “Um...Emily?” She looked up and saw the nervous embarrassment in his face. She giggled as she sat back, looking down. Michael suddenly jumped at Seth, hugging him tightly. “I swear if you ever do that again I’ll make sure to have killed you myself!” He shouted, hugging him. “Thanks bro...” Seth said sarcastically. We all stood, and Krista and I rushed in for a hug.

After all the embrace, we sat on the couches. “So...who-” “Emily.”Damien said, interrupting Seth. Seth looked over at Emily confused, “How?” “I...I gave you the bite...” “The bite? You mean...I’m a vampire now?” “Yes...maybe...I don’t know.” “How did you know the bite wouldn’t kill me? “I didn’t...it was a last resort...” “Oh...” He looked down, touching his chest softly. The wounds hadn’t fully healed and remained as scars. “Now what?” He asked, looking around. “Damien?” I looked at him, wondering. “I’ve never come across a...hybrid before. It’s completely new to me.” Damien shrugged, wrapping his arm around me. “So...wait a minute. Why is it that my wound wasn’t healing but when it transferred to Krista it did?” I sat up, looking over at her. “Maybe...the wound was made to damage vampires so it didn’t affect her. So...” “The wound that Seth got was targeted against werewolves. Which means that when the vampire venom hit him, it began to heal.” I said, smiling widely. “Then why did it heal completely for Krista and not Seth?” Michael asked, tightening his arm around his girlfriend softly. “I don’t know...maybe because he died?” Damien suggested. “Really weird hearing that...” Seth mumbled. “Possibly.” I said, slowly standing. “But...do you think we can be the normal for a day?” I asked, looking around at my friends. “That. Would be. So great you don’t even know!” Krista said, jumping to her feet, followed by Michael. “Emily, want to make dinner?” I asked, looking over at her. She slowly stood, nodding. “I also brought some movies, so Krista, you and Michael pick one. Damien could you...um...” “I’ll clean up all this mess.” He said, chuckling softly under his breath. “I’ll help.” Seth offered, standing, to which Emily helped him with. “No no, you need to rest sweetie.” Emily insisted. “I feel fine. I wanna help.” He said, smiling as he kissed her cheek softly.  “Alright well, time for a normal evening! And...break!” I exclaimed, smiling widely.
