The Witch and The Worry

About two months passed and we were at the end of march, two days before spring break, the long awaited week of the year. In a town like ours, you can’t say ‘Let’s hit the beach!’ or ‘Pool time!’. Nope, here, it’s still cold enough to be considered winter. So, we had a better plan for our week.

“Come on! That sounds great! Don’t you think, Seth?” Michael said, looking between Seth and Damien. “I uh...I don’t know...what if he really doesn’t want a bachelor party?” Seth sunk into his seat, bowing his head in fear. The guys had been at this for about a week now. Damien really did insist he didn’t want a bachelor party, and not just because of me. Michael really wanted one, which got him on Krista’s bad side. And Seth didn’t really know which side to take. I laughed, slowly standing. “Well, Damien, just know that I really don’t mind. Come on girls, a few last minute revisions?” I asked, glancing between them all. Emily jumped up excitedly, followed by Krista. The wedding was on the weekend two weeks after school ends. We had decided to go with the lake spot, and had a very enchanted theme going on. All that was left to decide were two things, the bachelorette party, and who was to be my maid of honor. I know it’s kind of late to decide that, but for the past couple months, I had known who I’d choose.

We looked over the notebook one last time before shutting it, all looking at each other excitedly. “I can’t believe you’re getting married!” Krista nearly shouted, getting a few weirded out looks from some passing students. “Krista!” Emily shouted, getting a ‘sorry’ whisper from her. I laughed, “To be honest, I can’t believe we’re graduating in two months!” They looked at me, laughing. “Well, we are, Seth is stuck here for another year.” Emily said, giggling. “That does suck for him.” Krista said, laughing. Suddenly, her eyes went wide and both Emily and I stared at her. “Oh my god, you guys! Michael and I are the only ones who are going to get old!” Emily and I looked at each other, then back to her. “Seth might...” Emily sighed. “Well, hold on guys. Bella put a spell on herself remember? She won’t get any older. What if she can do the same for you?” I said, slowly standing as I noticed the students beginning to depart for fifth period. “That sounds like a great idea!” Emily said, smiling over at Krista as they both stood. “Well alright, hopefully she’ll do it.” Krista said, smiling. I picked up the notebook labeled ‘Walker Wedding’ and started to walk beside them.

I tossed my book bag on the couch, settling down beside it. “Two more days and it’s off to Florida baby!” Michael shouted, dropping his bag on the ground beside the lounge chair he sat himself in. Krista hopped up, landing in his lap, earning a painful grunt from him as she landed right on his manliness. She giggled, kissing him softly. Emily and Seth sat on the love seat to the right of the couch, his left arm around her while his right hand was twined with hers. Bella and Colten were to the right of Damien and I, the four of us on the couch. “I can’t believe it!” Emily said, smiling. “Where are we going again?” Colten asked, slouching into the couch. “Well, you guys are going to any where Damien wants to go for his bachelor party, and the girls and I are going to Disney!” I said cheerfully, smiling widely. “That sounds fun...why aren’t we going with you?” Damien asked, looking at me. “Um...I don’t know, I figured you guys aren’t really Disney guys.” I shrugged. “I’d love to go, why not?” “Aw no! Disney is a girly thing!” Michael groaned, earning a flick to the forehead from Krista. Emily bit her lip, thinking. Suddenly she jumped up, “I have an idea!” We all jumped, staring at her in confusion. “Well, from what I remember, Disney is pretty close to that other park, Universal Studios? That one has more rides than Disney, so the guys can go there and then join us in Disney for a nice dinner. After dinner, they can hit the strip club if they want...” Emily said, her voice slightly embarrassed with the topic of a strip club. “That sounds great!” Damien said, smiling widely. Everyone else agreed and it was settled. That was the plan and the plan was starting in two days.
