Today after school, I went to the guys band practice. Michael begged me to go.

Sam's POV
"Please," Michael whined on our way to lunch.
"No."
"Come on, Sam! Please, for me. The guys want you to come, too. We have some news," he said.
"Michael, I said no. I have homework, and Zoe needs my help for a school project."
He grabbed my shoulder and spun me in a semicircle to look at him. His green eyes stared into my gray ones. He pouted his lip, looking like a lost puppy.
I copied his expression and cupped his cheeks. "How could I ever say no to that face?"
"You can't." He winked and chuckled.
"Fine. I'll go to band practice," I said. "Race you to lunch."
We ran to the cafeteria, trying to shove each other to get in the lead. He ended up getting there first and ran circles around me in victory.
"You only won because of those long damn legs," I laughed and sat down next to Luke.
"Well, you are almost as tall as me, so that's not a very good excuse."
I rolled my eyes and started eating my lunch. Michael and Luke were talking with our other friends, Calum and Ashton. Probably about band practice later. I stayed quiet until my sister walked over.
"Hey, sis! Are you still helping me after school?" Zoe asked.
I had to choke down my disgust at her tone and choice of words. She placed two manicured hands on the table and tilted her head, smiling oddly at me.
"Sorry. Change of plans. I'm hanging out with the guys," I said.
"Then who's going to help me?" She whined.
She was so annoying. Whining was only cute when Michael did it, or when Luke's dog was begging for a treat.
"I don't know. Maybe one of your friends, or are they too stupid to comprehend anything?" I laughed.
Her friends were the classic stereotypical white girls. They had no brains, and the only thing that seemed to be on their minds were boys and the latest fashion trend. It's so much fun to make up a beauty statistic and see them flip out because they'd never heard of it.
"At least I have friends who don't go around thinking they're so cool because they're 'punk rock' and try to wear eyeliner," she said and began to walk away.
If she wasn't my sister, I would've smashed her face in two. No one talks about my best friends like that. No one messes with me, period.
"At least my friends don't have the mental capacity of a six-year-old!" I yelled. I used my spoon to take a huge amount of pudding and fling it at her, landing right in her hair. She turned around and stared at me in shock. "That's what happens when you don't know how to keep your mouth shut."
I could feel someone's stare from the corner of my eye as I smirked to myself in accomplishment. As I looked at the person who had the killer glare, I saw that I'd been caught by a teacher. He walked over to me and handed me a slip of paper.
"No throwing food. Detention after school today," he said in a monotone voice.
"Hey, if she goes, we go," Michael stated, standing at my side.
"Yeah!" The boys yelled.
"Michael, no-" I started to say, but he put his hand up to stop me.
"I only give detention to students who are disruptive and cannot follow the rules," the teacher said.
