Today, Michael and I had a cuddle day. He's adorable everyday, but today he was especially cute.

Michael's POV
We were together. We were actually together! I didn't expect her to say yes since our date didn't start well, but damn. Sam knew how to fulfill my wishes. We went from best friends to boyfriend and girlfriend overnight. It was an incredible feeling knowing that I got to call her mine.
It was still so surreal a few days later when she spent her day off from school at my house. We were in my room watching movies on Netflix. Sam rested her head on my chest, and I played with her hair.
"You know what we should do?" I said.
"What?"
Sam propped herself up onto one elbow and met my gaze. Her hand wrapped around my torso, and she pulled herself closer. I smiled and tuck a stray piece of hair behind her ear.
"Dye our hair together."
"That's a great idea. Let's do it tomorrow when I get out of school," she said.
"When does your dad come home?" I asked.
"Two weeks. Maybe," she said. The smile drops from her face, and she stares down at my chest. "I feel like there's something going on between him and my mom. They've been arguing on the phone a lot lately. What if they split up?"
"Hey, don't think about that. They love each other a lot and they won't make you go through that," I told her.
She looked back up at me and kissed me softly. I pressed my lips hard against hers as she wrapped her arms around my neck, moving her whole body to face me. She bit my lip, and I let out a groan.
I licked her bottom lip, begging for access. I started to hover over her when my door opened.
"Michael, do-oh my god! I'm so sorry," my mum exclaimed and shut the door.
Sam pulled away and covered her face with her hands. "Your mom just walked in on us making out. Oh, god. Wow. It's too hot in here."
I laughed as she searched through the pile of clothes by my closet. "Is it the room that's too hot? Or is it me?"
"You wish, Clifford. Can you turn around?"
She unfolded a shirt and held it in front of her. A light blush still stuck to her cheeks.
"I've seen you in a bikini before. It's basically the same thing," I said.
She rolled her eyes and quickly removed her sweatshirt, slipping on my shirt.
"What?" She asked, noticing me looking at her.
"Nothing. You just look great in my shirt."
I stood up and crossed the room to stand in front of her. Her arms went around my neck as mine slipped around her waist. I kissed her forehead, my lips lingering for a moment.
"Am I as pretty as Zoe?"
Furrowing my eyebrows, I moved my head back to look at her and asked, "Why do you compare yourself to her?"
"Everyone thinks she's the prettier sister. She's Zoe. When people see me, they don't say that's Sam. They say that's Zoe's sister," she said.
I put my finger under her chin and pushed her head up to look at me. Her gray eyes searched mine for something. I held her gaze another moment before speaking my mind.
"You're beautiful. Don't compare yourself to her. Ever. She covers herself under layers of makeup. You don't, and that's one of the things I love about you," I said and kissed her forehead again.
The good thing about our relationship was that it was normal for us to say I love you to each other. We'd been doing it for years. Why stop now?
"I love you, too."
Sam rested a hand on my chest, my heartbeat smooth against her palm. Her head sat on my shoulder as we held one another. It was so peaceful I could've fallen asleep.
"We should probably go apologize to my mum," I said, remembering why we were in this position in the first place.
Sam laughed and said, "Yeah. That might be a good idea."
We headed downstairs hand in hand. My mum was in the kitchen cutting up food for a salad.
"Sorry about that, Mum," I said, scratching the back of my neck.
"No, it's fine. I should've knocked. It's none of my business," she said without looking at us.
"That's it? No lecture?" I said, surprised.
"No. Just be safe. There's no need for there to be any mini Clifford's running around," she said.
"Oh, god. Don't go there," I said.
She was silent after that, so we took it as our que to leave. Sam took a pillow and hit me with it when we got back to my room.
"Hey! What was that for?" I asked.
"That's for making me feel embarrassed," she said and hit me again.
"You wanna go?"
"Bring it."
I grabbed a pillow and hit her arm. She whipped the side of my face with hers. I chased her around the room and jumped over the bed. I hit the side of her head, and her hair flew into her face. I hit her one final time, and she fell to the floor. I quickly got on top of her and kissed her.
"I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to make you fall. I'm sorry," I said.
I kissed all over her face. Her forehead, cheeks, nose. She giggled and squirmed under me.
"Mikey, it's okay," she said.
"No, it's not. I hurt you."
"Mikey, I'm fine. I'm not hurt and it's technically my fault. I had the idea of a pillow fight," she said.
"You sure you're okay?" I asked.
"Yes. Now, let's go back to our cuddle day."
