Today was...how could I describe it? Life changing.

Sam POV

I woke up and felt my stomach churn. I made my way to the bathroom just in time to empty my stomach. I brushed my teeth and lay down on my bed, waiting for the sharp pain in my lower stomach to start. But it never did.

I got up to look at my calendar. I was supposed to get my period two weeks ago.

"No," I said. "No, no, no!"

I checked again to make sure I counted right. I slowly backed away and fell to the floor. I leaned against my bed. I held my head in my hands and cried. My door opened, and Zoe walked in.

"Sam, do you have- what's wrong?" She asked.

She helped me up off the floor and onto my bed. Every time I tried to tell her, I broke down again.

"Sammy? Sam? Samantha Evans," she said, forcing me to look at her.

"What's wrong?" She asked, sitting down next to me.

"I-I'm late," I choked.

"What do you mean you're late?"

"I'm late! I missed my period!" I yelled.

Thank god my mom wasn't home. She'd kill me if she heard what I said.

"You don't think you're pregnant, do you?" Zoe asked.

"I just threw up, like ten minutes ago," I said.

"Sammy, tell me you didn't have sex without a condom," she said

"I did," I choked out.

"With who?"

"Michael," I answered.

"When?"

"When they came home from the tour. Six weeks ago."

"I'll go to the store and get a test. Stay here," Zoe said.

One hour later, I stared at the pregnancy tests laid out in front of me. I turned each of them over.

Two lines.

Positive.

All three of them were positive.

I threw them away in the trash and exited the bathroom. Zoe stood right outside, biting her lip in anticipation.

"Well? What'd it say?" She asked.

My lack of speech gave her an answer. She put her hand on my back and pulled me into her embrace. I sobbed onto her shoulder.

"I'm only eighteen. I'm too young to be pregnant," I cried.

"I know, Sammy. I know, but look on the bright side. You're going to be a mother," she said.

"What if I don't want to be a mother?"

She put her hands on my shoulders and wiped the tears from my face.

"Samantha Grace Evans, you are going to be a mother. There is no way I'm letting you give up this baby. Whether you want to or not, you are going to have this baby. You will not get an abortion or give it up for adoption," she said.

She sounded like a mother and she wasn't even the one who was pregnant.

"I'm scared, Zoe," I said.

"Don't be. It'll be okay," she said.
