Chapter 13: Broken

Diggy’s POV

Diggy’s POV

I text Erica to meet me at Menchies, that’s one of her favorite places to go. I told spin I would be right back. Before I left out the door Spin called out told me that I had to be in NY by 10 am tomorrow morning so that means that I have to be at the Airport no later than 4 am. I really should stay and get some sleep but I really need to speak to Erica first. It took me almost and 30 minutes to get to Menchies, when I finally pulled up I saw Erica’s Silverish blue 2013 Lexus parked in front of Menchies. Damn this girl is spoiled. I highly doubt her mom bought it for her; it must’ve been given to her by her step-dad. Spoiled little brat. Erica was already inside getting her frozen yogurt; cake batter and an ass load of unnecessary toppings.

I walked in and smiled at her, she had changed out of the clothes that she had on earlier today and had on some black leggings, a red off the shoulder shirt and a pair of TOMS.  I went and got my frozen yogurt and loaded it with unnecessary toppings as well and paid for mine and Erica’s. We found a small table outside to sit at and started to eat. I couldn’t help but get my mind off the real reason why I am here so I needed to get this over with, but before I could say anything she said something first. “Look Dan I really wanted to tell you but I didn’t want you to leave me”

“Listen Erica you have more things to worry about then keeping me”

“Meaning?”

“I’m talking about your son, you know the one that you had with my friend”

“Dan please listen”

Erica had tears in her eyes she, I love her but she has to see that I’m not the one who needs her undivided attention. “Erica Listen you know I love you right?” I asked her in a calm voice. I really hated to see that I was causing these heart breaking tears, but I have to do what’s right.

“You don’t love me” she growled through her tears.

“Listen I love more than anything, but…..”

“BUT? BUT? There should be no buts if you love me”

“You are not making this easy”

“Say what’s on your mind Diggy JUST SAY IT”

“Ok we can’t continue this relationship anymore, you have a son who needs your attention and I have a dream to pursue. I will always love you Erica”

“Ok I get it it’s all about publicity”

“Exact-.. wait! What! No it’s not that. Did you not hear what I just said?"

"I heard exactly what you said." 

"Are you sure because it sounds like you just put words in my mouth that I said."

"Dan who is she" 

"Whoa what Erica what the heck are you talking about"

"It's Anissa isn't it?" 

"Erica what are you talking about what does Anissa have to do with this?" I was so confused.

"I'm talking about who is the chick that is causing you to break up with me" She yelled

"Erica there is no "SHE"

"Then why are you breaking up with me?" She broke down right there crying. "DAN WHY WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME TO US YOU TOLD ME WHATEVER THE SECRET IS YOU WOULD BE MY SIDE NO MATTER HOW BAD IT IS. YOU PROMISED ME.. Y-Y-YOU PROMISED ME." Seeing Erica this hysterical made my eyes water I have never seen her like this ever and it was just sad.

"E-Erica I'm sorry it's just that you have more important people to worry about than me. I love you and I always will." I stood up and took one more look at her then walked away from the girl that I had been through hell and back with. The girl who was my everything. The girl who, even though she had a son with my best-friend, she will always have a place in my heart. I love this girl with all my might, but her priorities are not in line. 

Erica's POV

I don't know what I am going to do now, it's like my world just up and walked away  from me. Diggy was my everything. I felt like there was a hole where my heart used to be. I sat and tried to make since of the situation that had just taken place, but for some reason I couldn't't think at all. My mind was blank and I couldn't't see straight, my breaths started to shorten and I started to sweat like a pig. Next think I saw was darkness. 

Narrator 

Erica had blacked out from an anxiety attack. One of the workers at Menchies walked outside to tell her that they were about to close, but when she had Erica laying she freaked out. "JASON" the Worker yelled "JASON HELP" The worker started to panic. The other worker Jayson came running out as soon as the the girl yelled helped. 

"Whats wrong Stephanie why are you ... OH shit." Jason bent down to check Erica's pulse. "Ok Steph she's still breathing we have to call and ambulance like now.

Stephanie Went inside and called for an ambulance. Erica was a regular at Menchies and grew close to the workers so when the ambulance arrived and asked question the two workers Erica was cool with told the paramedics the basics about Erica. Her name and her birthday. Stephanie and Jason drove to the ER and waited to hear Erica's condition. After waiting for a good 30 minutes a light skin man walked out to the waiting area. "Swinton?" He said kind of loud. 

"That's us" Jason and Stephanie ran up to the doctor.

"Friend I assume?" The doctor raised an eyebrow at the two.

"Is that relevant at this point?" Stephanie said with an attitude.

The doctor put his hand up like he was surrendering. "Ok ok just trying to lighten the mood, Um Erica will be ok she just blacked out from a little anxiety, but she will be ok."

"Oh Thank God." Jason said hugging Stephanie. "wait can we go and see her?" Jason asked.

"Oh sure right this way."

They walked through the big double doors and went to Ericas room. Before they opened the door the doctor stopped them. "Ok before you go in I must tell you that she looks a little depressed we are not sure of what it seems a little serious so please watch what you say or do Ok"

"Ok" Stephanie and Jason answered together. They walked in and it was dark except for the light coming from the machines. "Erica. Uh um how you doing." Stephanie asked.  Jason reached for the lights and Erica was laying down facing the window. Stephanie walked on the side that Erica was facing and gasped. "Erica wh-what's wrong? her eyes were blood shot red.

"......."

"ERICA I KNOW YOU NOT IGNORING ME" Just then Erica's phone rang. She didn'tmove and inch she let it rang until it went off. He phone rang again "Um you plan on answering that orrrrr you just gonna let it sit there. " Jason asked her. "Erica your phone is kinda ringing." 

she laid there not moving a bit.  Erica was truly broken. 

Ok so this story going all off of my story board. One reason is because I was forced to post this story on wattpad. Two is because I thought I thought I was gonna go by what I wrote down but I didn't. It's the same concept then the paper version, there is just a lot of added things.
