Chapter 32: Round Two.

For next few weeks I had been getting random text messages from Khalil. I didn't tell Diggy because I knew he would lose his mind if he knew that Khalil was out walking the streets.

Khalil would send things like ' you look nice today' 'So when can I come and see you and my son' 'nice car did hubby by it for you'

And the text messages just kept coming. One day I was about to tell Diggy about them, but I figured I can handle Khalil on my own. If I told Diggy he would have the biggest fit.

I was knocked out of my thoughts when KJ came in sweating and breathing hard with a basketball in his hand.

"Mommy look at what my daddy gave me." He held his hand out and showed me a twenty dollar bill.

"Your dad, KJ when did you see your dad?"

"I saw him when I was playing basketball with Jeremiah and Corey." He explained.

"Did he tell you anything?" I started to get a little worried that he would start getting out of control again like showing up in random spots and cause a scene.

"No he just said Hi and that he missed me and he told me to ask you can I go over to his house next weekend."

"Nope!"

"But mommy my room is cleaned." KJ whined.

"I don't care if you cleaned the kitchen and my room you are NEVER going over there and you will not ask me to go over there again."

"But mommy."

"Your mama said no boy and that's final." Diggy said carrying Kameryn in his arms and she sat there slobbering all over an Oreo.

"Its not Fair I want to spend time with my OWN daddy."

"KJ you better watch it before I beat you." I stood up.

"I WANT TO LIVE WITH MY DADDY I HATE IT HERE YOU'RE NOT EVEN MY DAD YOU'RE JUST KAMMYS DAD." He ran upstairs crying.

I looked at Diggy who looked a little hurt by KJ's words. He sat Kameryn down on the couch and then took a seat for himself. He put his head down and laced he fingers together.

"Dan look I'm so so sorry he said that."

"Where is this even coming from?" He asked.

I tried to answer but I was stuttering over my words. I finally sighed and sat down beside Kameryn who crawled in my lap.

"KJ said Khalil stopped by and gave him money and told KJ to ask if he can go over to his house next weekend. He's uh he's been creeping around a lot lately, I've been trying to ignore him but he's getting pretty annoying. And I guess he left me alone and went to the closest person to him which is KJ."

"WHY IN THE HELL AM I JUST HEARING ABOUT THIS ERICA?" He hopped up and went into a frenzy.

"BECAUSE I KNEW YOU'D ACT JUST LIKE THIS." I yelled back.

"This guy is dangerous he threatened to kill you and he nearly killed KJ when he was five, and not to mention he is still an escapee from Prison. I'm calling the cops."

"NO!" I hopped up grabbing his phone out his hand.

"No? Have you lost your mind woman this man is creeping around my family and you want me to just leave it be."

"Daniel look the reason he threatened to kill me was because he thought I was going go call the police on him and turn him in. So I just left it alone, it's no big deal I promise."

"NO BIG DEAL ARE YOU DELUSIONAL, YOU MUST BE. ERICA THIS IS KHALIL WE ARE TALKING ABOUT, HIM ALONE IS A BIG DEAL."

"Daniel look let me just handle him I've got this." I stood up and walked away.
