Chapter 9: Sergeant Pretzel

7:30AM

I fall asleep the time I went inside the room. Jay is gone on the receiving area, he's already at the balcony.

"Good morning" I greeted.

"Hi, how's your sleep?" He asked.

"It was good. You?" I said, looking at his face realizing how handsome he is.

"It was great, want to go out for breakfast?" He asked.

I nodded and headed to my room to take a bath. I remind myself to look good. A jeans and shirt can pull this breakfast date off. He looks more handsome when he's didn't take a bath. It's gross but in a good way. I can't keep myself from looking at him and at this point it makes me thing that Katie was right. Jay is the best contender for being my next boyfriend. He's a doctor, he's handsome and he likes me. The only problem is I don't have feelings for him. I should have learn to love him before then if I know he'd look this good. How can a girl like me can be this much choosy.

There wasn't that much restaurant that would be open at this time of the day. We ended up eating at McDonalds. Jay order an entire meal for the both of us, even though I told him that all I want is a McFlurry. It took minutes before the food arrives and during those times there a whole silence. It was okey for me though, I could sit here and looks at him the whole time and I wouldn't get hungry.

"What's your plan now?" Jay asked.

"Honestly, I don't know, I haven't look for a job yet." I said, tossing fries on my mouth.

"I'm sorry for what happen to you, I know I was the cause of this. I'll try to talk to your chief nurse about it." He said, while mixing the cream to his coffee.

"That so sweet of you. Let's just hope that they'll listen to you." I said, leaning my back on the chair.

It pains me so much when I remember the reason why they fired me. I just don't deserve that. Jay notice that the topic he puts up pains me, and tries to cheer me up. I assure him that I'm fine, even if I am not. I texted Katie if my parents already drop off Flynn so I can go home. Knowing my best friend, it would take time before she reply.

"You have something on your chin. Let me remove it." He said.

He half stands on his seat and gently rub my chin. He didn't let go of it and stares at me. He moves he's face closer to mine and kiss me on my lips. To my shame, I didn't feel anything. No electricity flow, not even a single volt. I gave it another try, I hold his nape and kiss him. Like the first there's really nothing. NO CONNECTION! It was only Jay who felt something on those kiss. It makes me feel a little guilty. He sat back down to his chair, and I notice that the group of students on the other table were looking at us. I give them a full grin with all teeth smile.

My phone beeps, I'm so thankful for that because it somehow breaks the ice. It was Katie.

"Not yet, Are you with Jay? Did you shag him already?"

Katie can be the biggest slut I have know in my entire life. She's even worst that Maria Osawa. We finished eating and decided to go to his place. To have some tea, since according to him McDonalds doesn't serve tea, only coffee.

Jay's condominium unit was located at The Fort somewhere around Serendra. It takes almost half an hour before we arrived to his place. He's place was clean, not thoroughly clean but clean enough for a busy man like him. Although I can see some magazines on the floor, like the newest issue of Men's Health Magazine. I was looking for any FHM magazine or Cosmopolitan, but I didn't find one. I bet his hiding it, maybe on the bathroom. It was pretty obvious what were about to do, since he take me directly to his room.
