Four Girls One Boy

Alison feels uncomfortable

I have just gotten out if maths and I couldn't be happier. It was now lunch and I could see my friends that I hadn't seen since yesterday. I didn't see them at break because I got a detention for reading!

I mean come on people. You have a go at us for not reading and then when we do you punish us? Where is this logic?

As I walked into the cafeteria I saw Kate sitting at our table on her phone texting rapidly.
Probably getting the latest gossip. I thought
"Heyhey." I said moodily as I had been sitting here for five minutes now and she still hadn't noticed me.
"Oh my God hi. When did you get here?" she was genuinely shocked that I was sitting here.
"Like five minutes ago but you were on your phone so its no biggy that you didn't notice me!" I snapped. I wasn't in the mood for this! I wanted to go home and get my hair dyed black again but my mum wasn't home yet again.
"No need to be moody about it" she added. "Oh there's kayla and Kendall"

Kayla and I had an arguement yesterday so we weren't exactly friends. I was about to go over with Kate to join then but the bell went and I remembered that I had English so I rushed to the room and sat at my seat.

I was probably reading for ten minutes until someone sat next to me.
"Is it okay if I sit here?" they asked.
"Yeah whatever" I said not even looking up.
"Someone's enjoying a book"
Well done on stating the obvious! I thought but didn't say. I didn't need another arguement.

I looked up and glared at them instead. I was five pages away from the end of my book and I don't like it when people interrupt my reading. That was what Kayla and I had argued about.

"Well it's a good book and if you don't mind I would like to get back to it so I can finish." I informed him sarkily.

"Chill. I completely agree though. I love to kill a mockingbird. It's amazing. I've read it like three times."

While he was saying this I have time to see what he looked like completely. He had dark brown hair and dark brown eyes. His hair was in a quiff and he had amazing complection.

Omg I've been spending way too much time with Kate!

" Well I've read it like five but the most I've read a book or series in nine and that was Harry Potter." I said. It's all true. I don't socialise so it's a wonder to everyone how I have three best friends.

"Wow. Doesn't it get boring?"
"No not really. I still always cry at when same points as well."
"Yeah like what?"
"Let me see..... Um fred's death, sirius' death and dobby's."

I was getting weird looks from everyone. This was the longest conversation I've ever had with someone that wasn't Kate, Kendall or Kayla. I was shocked as well.

"Well they are all very sad parts. My names Seth by the way. What's yours?"
"Alison. Look if you don't want your popularity to decrease I'd sit somewhere else. I'm not exactly the best person to sit next to. I'd blank you out all the time and I never socialise." it's true. He seemed kind but if you want to make it here you don't talk to me.

"I don't care. I just moved here so you know. I don't really have any friends at the moment. Best to grab one when they're nice to me." He smiled.

I didn't smile back and luckily at that time the teacher decided to finally show up. Some one pointed out that he was ten minutes late so I replied with

"A teacher is never late nor are they early. They arrive precisely when they mean to." That caused me some looks of joy from people that understood and looks of weirdness from everyone else.

I always make movie references so everyone is used to it by now.

The lesson continued and I just sat there wondering what I was going to do about the fact that I now had someone sitting next to me. As i said previously. I don't socialise.
