Luke:

I told Michael I'd meet him today for school, but when he walked out his house he didn't look happy.

"What's wrong?" I asked.
"N-nothing." He frowned, clutching his bag strap.

"Tell me," I said softly as we walked.

"I just don't wanna go to school." He said unconvincingly.

"It's not that." I stated.

He took a long breath, gulping slightly. "My mum said I can't be with you." Tears started to fall from his eyes.

"Wait... What?" I asked, stopping us both.

"She says you're not good for me." He sniffled. "I don't wanna lose you."

I didn't even mention that we weren't actually together, I knew what he meant.

I placed my hands on his hips and watched him twitch a little.
I pulled him into my chest and squeezed him like a teddy bear.

"It'll be okay." I said softly. "Wanna skip today?"

He nodded and whimpered.

My shirt was wet but I didn't care. I grabbed his hand and we walked to somewhere no one would look for us.

The bridge.

This bridge had been abandoned for ages, nobody used it anymore now that new roads had been built.

It stood high over a used-to-be lake that dried up. I looked over the edge and gulped, it was so far down.

Michael giggled. "Are you scared?"

"I just don't like heights," I corrected, sitting on the ground.

Michael did the same and I noticed him staring at me.

"What?" I asked.

He took a deep breath. "Thank you."

"For what?"

"Everything." He played with his hands. "Making me feel better."

I crawled over to him and pressed our lips together.
"I love you."

He looked up at me surprised. "Really?"

"I do." I nodded.

He smiled but started to cry too.
"I love you too."

I felt breathless. It was all I had wanted to hear for so long.

"Come on," Michael said, standing up and walking to the edge of the bridge.

"What are you doing?" I questioned.

"Looking at the view, come here let's do some titanic stuff."

I laughed but walked over, wrapping my arms around him from behind.
We stared out into the sky, the colour was almost as beautiful as Michaels eyes. Almost.

I kissed his cheek quickly and saw him blush.

"Now come on let's go sit down." I said.

"I wanna stay here," he whined.

"Well I'm gonna sit down so," I smirked, walking a few metres away and landing on the ground in the same spot as before.

I watched him every now and then, he stood in the same place, gazing out and breathing it all in.

I turned my attention to my phone, watching videos. It had been about ten minutes when I heard a small voice.

"L-Luke?"

I looked up to not find him anywhere he was before.

"Michael?" I raised an eyebrow, walking to where Michael had been.

"Luke!" He called, more urgent. I looked over the edge and saw him, hanging onto the railing.

"Michael!" I screamed. "What the fuck?!"

"I slipped." He cried. "Help."

I leant over the edge, reaching my Hand down to his, I went as far as I could but he was just out of reach.

"I can't reach you," I began to cry.

His face looked more panicked. "I can't hold on."

I couldn't even think straight.
I leant over more and more and soon I was touching the ends of his fingers.

"Baby please," I whimpered.

His eyes held nothing but fear. "I love you, so much."

"Don't speak like that, I'm gonna call someone. You're gonna be okay," I said, but I knew no one would be here in time.

He sniffled but scoffed. "Yeah okay."

I pulled at the ends of my hair.
"Fuck."

I reached down once more and I swear I could feel his hand start to grab mine but then, he fell...

"No!" I screamed, looking over the edge. I saw a small body flopped on the ground.

I shakily reached for my phone and sobbed down the 999 emergency line.
Soon the ambulance came but they confirmed he was dead on the scene. Broken neck.

I felt sick, feeling myself fall to the ground unconscious.
