I hadn't seen this boy before, his red hair sticking out through the crowd, confusing me. I continued to walk faster. He looked behind him and saw me coming, speed walking away from me without trying to cause a scene.
The bell had rang for lunchtime to start so I was at no shortage of time.
I followed where I was 95% sure he had gone and eventually ended up in the English block, which was abandoned at times like Lunch.
I shut the door behind me silently, creeping around until I saw a denim jacket poking out behind a pillar. I smirked to myself as I walked towards it and launched myself past the pillar, facing him.
His eyes went wide immediately, face paling and I grabbed the loose fabric of his sleeve, trying to keep him still but he was already running away from me. I watched him as his breaths deepened and he stumbled and fell about 10 metres in front of me. I must have worn him out.
I jogged up to him as he scrambled to his feet.
I stood in front of him.
"Why wont you talk to me?" I plead.
He shook his head and calmly walked away.
"I'm not gonna let you go like that, you know." I told him. "I mean it."
I sighed loudly and walked back to the canteen to meet my friends, of course none of them would ever know where I was, except maybe Cal.
