Geography commenced as always, with Hiroko asking (Y/n) for help the minute she sat down beside him. "Hey.....(Y/n), did you get to talk to those new students yet?" It was a random moment for the tough student to start talking about the new students he nearly got into confrontation with, just yesterday.

"Yeah, well except for two or three, but they seem like pretty chill guys." She decided not to include the way Kaito had tripped her up, knowing the brute would go and make him pay one way or another.

Hiroko seemed deep in thought before he finally spoke out. "I suggest you don't hang around with them. There's something off about their character but I can't put my finger on it. Bottom line, try to keep as much possible distance from them as possible." (Y/n) didn't know what to make out of this request, Hiroko is know to have amazing intuition and read people's body language well. Since he was raised in a very rundown and high crime rated part of town, it was essential for him to develop some sort of instincts and usually they were pretty spot on.

"Why, they're pretty harmless, in fact, I could even say delightful." She tried to stay at a positive mindset but was also trying to convince herself that this was not true.

"That could be said for everyone......listen take it as someone who has experience, people have secrets, that they themselves don't know about, and when the cracks appear you don't want to be emotionally or physically near them when that happens." (Y/n) stared at the hardcore boy, considering what he said.

"Didn't know you can be deep." She decided to lighten up the mood and change the subject. Hiroko started protesting but his embarrassment was given off by the way his cheeks attained a red hue.

'Finally! It the end of the day, I'm gonna go home, watch (f/m), stuff my face with chocolate-'

Taptaptaptaptaptaptap

(Y/n) stopped in her tracks. Being reminded of the horrible rain that had continue all throughout the day. 'Great. What now?' The cornered girl was weighing her options as to how much she would survive through the down pour. 'I know I'll definitely get a cold if I go out there now. Why didn't I bring my coat?' She stood at the doorway, the cold wind grazing her skin, causing goosebumps to appear.  Finally making up her mind, she set one foot out on the cold, wet, slippery gravel and took a step to the showering water. However, to her surprise she didn't feel any of the liquid hit her. Instead a familiar sound of droplets hitting a nylon surface was heard from above. Looking up, (Y/n) noticed a large, black piece of material blocking her view of the sky.

She looks behind her to see who was sheltering her and saw that it was the straight faced boy that Lala seemed to take a liking to. He was holding an umbrella above the girl, staring down at her confused face. "What are you doing?" She question his actions.

"I owe you." Was his simple response and started walking out in the horrid weather. (Y/n) was snapped out of her abstruse state by the flurry of rain luring down on her. This coerced the girl to run back under the umbrella and take her place next to the boy.

They walked along the path with only the sound of rain hitting the ground, to be heard. (Y/n) stayed in this awkward silence, wondering how she should start some sort of interaction. "So.....how are you liking the school?"

"Hn." He shrugs and kept his poker face on. (Y/n) dug in her head, searching for a conversations starter.

"Is everything going well?"

"Mhm." He hums out. (Y/n) was getting a bit irritated at how he was acting towards the (h/c) haired girl as if she was just air that has a shape.

"Where are your other friends?" She tries for a question that can give an explication.

"Bako has business, Ren and Jin have clubs, Kaito left a while ago and Ryo has detention." Despite him speaking a full sentence, it sounded bland, disinterested and emotionless.

".....You don't speak much do you?" She hoped that her inquiry didn't offend him though in all honesty she wouldn't even know if it did. The boy simply shrugged and payed little attention to her.

'Is he trying to be one of those silent but strong protagonists? Then again, he could be the example for a robot.' (Y/n) gasped as she felt cold droplets hit her relentlessly, searching for why her shelter had disappeared. The soaked girl got her answer when she noticed the boy was crouching down on the side, seemingly inspecting something. She tried to peek at what he was doing but he stood up before she could get a better look. When the (h/c) haired student saw what he was holding, she didn't believe it.

In his arms stood a small, trembling, black puppy with a flopped ears and big, dark eyes. It pushed itself against the magenta boy's chest, trying to absorb as much body heat as possible. The stone-faced student's expression turned to one of concern as he looked down at the little, furry bundle in his arms.

Taken by surprise, (Y/n) racked her brain to figure what to say. "Who's that?"

"He seems cold." The new student sympathetically petted the dark pup while it whimpered in his hands.

"Are you going to take him?" (Y/n) reached out and gently stroked her fingers through the thin coat of fur on the animal's head.

"I can't.....my family doesn't approve of animals or pets." (Y/n) felt compassionate towards the boy's statement. "He won't survive if he's left alone......he's clearly malnourished."

'......No, no no no.' (Y/n) tried to switch off the empathetic part of her brain, knowing she would regret it if she opened her mouth. 'But....' she looked back at the shuddering form of the soaked baby dog and then at silent male's dejected features. She breathed out heavily, already regretting her decision. "You know.....I can take him in until he gets better."

The boy stared at her for a minute, making the situation more uncomfortable. "Uuuuhhhh.....hey look, the rain stopped." There was the fresh smell of the moist ground and the sun filtering through the clouds, bringing some warmth to the surroundings.

The male kept watching the distracted girl, marginally mesmerised as the sun light gently caressed the girl's face, a constellation of rain drops scattered in her hair. He put on a rare smile at how she facilitated his task. "Thank you." The girl turned her (e/c) eyes to account the boy, startled at the hint of sweetness to his tone. He hands her the now sleeping pup, and leads his hand up to pat the girl gently on the head.

"Your.....welcome, dude?" (Y/n) attempted to understand, what the sudden change in mood was brought by. Closing his umbrella, the boy turned around and prepared to part with the female.

"By the way, you can call me Alex." He started walking away, officially entrusting the little animal with (Y/n).

"Will do." The girl looked down at the slumbering, dark pup and wondered what she got herself into.

I understand that there has not been any Yandere action so far, but I consider that I'm done with the character establishment so the next chapters will have definite signs of Yandere. Time to start the true story.
