Rose gasped,
"What on earth? I thought you didn’t want to hurt me---" she cut off hearing the gun click. Her eyes widened, "MOM DON'T!!!!" Rose quickly moved as the bullet shot and she then realized she had been nicked on the leg, the gun clicked again.
Rose closed her eyes but the gun never shot.
She could hear two different people fight and then finally heard the thud that could only have meant her mom had been knocked out. Rose opened her eyes to see a tall figure crouching down next to her.
"Shhhhhh you’ll be fine." The voice soothed her as he picked her up to move her to the couch and set her down.
"I will be right back. I need to get something from my truck." Rose nodded and winced as the shock and adrenaline began to dissipate and the pain seeped through causing her pain.
She listened as the door opened and then closed, she closed her eyes and felt his light touch on her leg. Then she blacked out.

Rose woke a while later, realizing her leg didn’t hurt any more, she sat up slowly and looked around the room. She looked down at her leg and saw that her pant leg was pulled up exposing the skin where the wound had been, she looked over her leg carefully with no findings, the wound had healed itself.
"That’s odd," She muttered to herself.
"Good you’re awake." A voice said. She jumped at the sound of the voice and looked up to see a man about her age.
"Who are you?"
"I’m Cody, who are you?"
"I’m Rose."
"What a beautiful name for such a beautiful girl." Rose blushed and looked away from him.
A question ran through her mind and she blurted it out before she could think about it.
"Why did you come here?"
He just looked at her, “I saw flyers up for help out here."
"Oh, I forgot I had put up those flyers." she chuckled to herself.
"That’s alright. I would of called but there wasn’t a number on it."
"Oops, my bad I forgot to add the number, I even reviewed it! I knew something was missing." she chuckled to herself at her error,
"Oh, thanks. For saving me I mean."
"No problem." Rose got up and hugged him. He hesitated a second before returning the hug.
