Jade's POV

I sat on the couch beside Olivia. There is nothing on t.v!! I flipped through a bit more channels before turning the t.v off. "Nothing good on t.v?" Olivia asked. I shook my head. "Nope." I said. Then I got up and went to the kitchen. As I walked in, I saw how empty it was. I mean, it's lonely in here. I barely ever see mum. She has been going to work 24/7. Every single day.

Then I heard foot steps behind me. "Are you okay? You're standing at the doorway like a statue. It's sorta creepy." She said. "I'm fine. Its just that its so lonely here. Mum is also never home." I said. Olivia shrugged. "I guess she is just busy." She said. "But she's way too busy." I said. "Jaaaaaade!" She whined. "You have to admit! Its true. There must be something wrong." I said. She rolled her eyes. "She needs a job Jade." She said. "But does she really have to be working all day, everyday?!" I said. She shrugged. "Maybe she just wants to work. I don't know." She said and then walked away.

I signed and then walked to my room. I closed the door and fell on my bed. I'm seriously so confused! She never worked like this before. I sighed once again. Everything is just so complicating. I looked at my window and then realized that it was getting dark. I got up off my bed, took my pajamas and made my way to the bathroom.  I took a quick shower, then got changed into my pajamas, brushed my teeth and then walked to my room.

I got in my bed and then closed my eyes. As I was about to fall asleep, I heard someone in the kitchen.  MUM!! I really excited!  I didn't get to see her lately. I got out of my bed and walked out of my room. I saw Olivia too. We walked down the stairs and saw our mum. She looked frustrated. "Mum?" I said.

She quickly looked up at us. "Girls." She said. We walked down and gave her a hug. "What's wrong?" Olivia asked. I'm bit worried. "I don't have enough money to pay for the house and taxes." She said. "We might loose our house. I'm trying really hard but there's nothing ." she said with sadness.  I frowned. I hate seeing her so upset. And that's when it hit me! "Maybe me and Olivia can make some money!" I said. "Really?" Mum said. I nodded my head. "We can do some volunteering, garage sales and stuff like that." I said. She smiled. "Thank you for the help." She said. Then we all hugged. This is going to be one heck of a challenge.
