I twitched my wings as Caelin paced around our room. He kept looking at me with his big black eyes. I smiled at him and he came to sit by me on the bed.

"Its finally over," he said. "We're free. And you have your memory back."

I nodded. "But... I've learned things while being human. I'm not the angel that you first met. I'm more like the one you came to kidnap."

He chuckled. "Yes. You will always be headstrong and stubborn."

"Just like you."

He laughed and kissed my forehead. I smiled up at him and brought his lips to mine.

When we pulled back I said, "There are still things that I have to take care of. My life on earth... It cant just dissapear. I need to see my family and friends one last time."

Caelin nodded, then winced when he disturbed the bandages on his neck. He looked a bit like a mummy. He had his broken wing in a splint, and was not happy about it. He complained at every possible point in time.

It was the middle of the night in L.A.. I stood in my parent's room, wearing the shear white dress of an angel. I said a quick chant that would restore everybody's memories.

I walked over to my mother and lightyl brushed her shoulder. She woke with a start. She looked at me with my eyes, light blue dusted with pink. I had my mother's eyes.

"Deliah! Oh my god sweetie, where have you been? You've been gone fore months!"

A tear slipped down my cheek and I nodded. "I know mom. I came back to say goodbye."

"What? No! You will stay here and..." Her eyes traveled to my wings. She went pale.

"My god..."

"Mom, I'm not comming back to be with you. I love you. I love you so much. But I have to leave. Dont tell the police that I wont be found. That'll make you seem guilty. But I wont be found mom."

My mother was shaking her head. "No... Please... Dont leave us..."

"Give Daddy a hug for me. And all my friends. And Benny."

My mother was crying.

I hugged my mother and said, "But if you want to, you can forget me. I can earase your memory like I was never born. It would be less painful for you."

She shook her head. "I want to remember you, sweetie. I love you. I would never really forget you. There would still be some part of my mind that feels like there's something missing. It would be worse than knowing that youre... Gone."

I smiled. "Mom, I'm not dead! I'm more alive than ever. And I'll always be watching you. You'll never have any troubles again."

My mom smiled. "I'll miss you so much Deliah. But if you need to go..."

"I do. I've found where I belong. I'll see you again. Not in waking hours, or when there are others around, but I'll visit you in your dreams. I promise. I'll never truly leave you."

My mother kissed my forehead. "I love you. Now, just admit its a boy and leave."

I laughed and hugged her again. "You always know."

Caelin and Zara were waiting for me when I got back.

"I am remembered on earth," I said.

Caelin smiled. I took his hand and led him up the stairs. Zara rolled her eyes and fiddled with her cast that was around her broken leg. I grinned at her and she glared at me with cat-green eyes.

Caelin and I again sat on the bed. He looked at me lovingly, and I leaned against him. He wrapped his arms around me. "I love you, my angel," he whispered.

I grinned and said, "I love you too, evil demon."

He laughed softly and kissed the top of my head. We wrapped our wings around eachother and all was right with the world.
