"You're kidding!" I whisper yell at Lindsey, shoving her shoulder.

"But... I'm not!" She laughs lightly, glancing over at the sleeping figures on the floor.

It was around two AM and everyone had fallen asleep. Lindsey and I would have as well, but we choose talking instead.

"Since when?"

Lindsey smiles, "Yesterday after school he came over, and we were walking around the neighborhood for a while. I wanted to see if you wanted to come, but he refused.

"We walked down to the park down the street from my house. Then he just asked..." She finished her story, smiling bigger than ever.

"I think it's cute. I knew he liked you." I laugh.

"You did?!" She yells.

"Sh. Yeah. It was obvious." I roll my eyes, glancing over at our friends once more.

It may sound stupid, but waking up the next day I suddenly felt closer to Lindsey. We hadn't fallen asleep the previous night until around five in the morning. Instead, we stayed awake, just talking, knowing we would be okay the next day, even after our sleepless night.

Looking around, everyone was asleep, except Skylar, which was expected. She always woke up first.

I reach over and check my phone, having a missed call and text from Emma.

'3mm1: he did it.'

I immediately texted her back.

'Shann: he did what?'

When she didn't reply after a few seconds I sat up.

"Good morning, Shannon, Skylar." Alex whispered, voice heavy with sleep.

"Hush." I quieted him, pulling my phone up to my ear. I noticed him giving Skylar a confused glance, before leaning over to wake Lindsey.

The phone rang three times, and I lost hope in her answering before the ringing stopped.

"Hello?" Came Emma's weak voice from the other end of the call.

"What did he do?" I ask, scared that something bad happened.

"He-" She took a breath, "He broke up with me.."

I gasp, mouthing 'Chill' at the three confused beings in Alex's living room.

"Yeah. I saw it coming though. Kept getting bullied for-" A broken cry rang over the call, "f-for dating me."

"Oh."

I had no idea what else to say.

"I knew this would happen." She breathed in attempt to calm down, though another sob broke through the phone again.

"I just want to die."

I jumped up from my spot on the floor, ready to leave, "Emma I'm coming over."
