"She said she wants to die," I explain to the boy driving the car and the two girls in the back, "and I have no idea if she'll hesitate to try or not."

"Dammit. I'll murder him. I will." Alex growls from the seat beside me.

"As will I." Comes from Lindsey, who had been completely silent until this point.

I nod, that being all I can do as I reach for my phone.

'Shann: Emma. Don't do anything stupid.'

"Directions?" Alex asks, causing me to look up from the phone.

"Oh. Left." I sigh. Shooting out more directions as we turn.

"This one."

As soon as the car is parked, we are all jumping out of the car and knocking on the door, for the doorbell isn't functioning.

"Emma!" Skylar yells, "Emma, it's Sky, Lindz, Alex and Shann!"

The door still doesn't open, nor is there any sound from the other side of the door. Lindsey starts crying, Skylar has her arm around her.

"I'm calling her." I say, leaning against the house.

It rings for a minute before she answers.

"Shannon? Are you here?"

Her voice sounds weak, as if she had been sleeping for a few hours. This only worried me more.

"Emma, let us in." I sigh, relived that she answered.

"Okay."

Hopeful eyes look up at me.

"She's okay... Or alive? She's letting us in now. I think." I say, running my hand through my bangs.

Alex comes to stand in front of me and takes my phone or out of my hand, putting it in his back pocket as he uses his other hand to hold mine.

"You okay?" He whispers. I squeeze his hand, not trusting my voice.

I look up and see him bite his lip, his eyes watering.

"She's fine."

The door opens and Lindsey and Skylar rush to stand as Alex and I move away from the wall quickly.

"Hey guys." She weakly smiles, "What's up?"
