Okay I am warning you now that this chapter might be jumpy but I need to speed things up a little so... bare with me guys! It's also only 550 wordsish (rounding), but my next chapters will be eventful, you just wait.
"Oh my god, Alex!" I exclaim, slapping him on the arm, "You are an idiot!"
"Oh fuck off," He laughs, "I was trying to be funny!"
I roll my eyes, "Trying."
He was attempting to show me how to skate, but he clearly didn't know how to himself.
"Whatever, I give up." He sighed, sitting down on the nearest bench along the park trail.
I groaned and sat next to him, "You told me you knew how to skate, dumbass."
"I was trying to be cute and pretend, didn't think it was this hard."
"Well it is."
He gasps, "No? Really?"
I slap his arm again, "Fuck off."
"No!" He fake cries, "You love me!"
"No." I say, shifting away from him slightly jokingly.
He wraps his arms around me, pulling me into his embrace, shaking me back and forth lightly.
"Okay, fine, maybe a little bit." I grin, not being able to hold my laughter in anymore.
"You're cute." He smiles, suddenly looking at me again.
I roll my eyes, "Liar."
He releases me and turns to face me, "No, I think that you're cute."
I smile shyly at him, "Why, thank you."
His face turns serious, "Want to know what else I think?"
"Hm?" I hum, telling him to continue.
"That you should be my girlfriend."
I am suddenly taken back, shocked, but in a good way.
He frowns, "Too much?"
"No," I shake my head rapidly, "I would love to be your girlfriend."
It was his turn to be shocked, "Serious?"
"Dead serious." I smile.

The next day had to have been one of the best days I'd had in a while.
The morning was surprisingly easy. I woke up on time, rested, I had no trouble with my makeup or hair, my outfit that I wanted was clean, and I had enough time to walk instead of drive to school. Plus it was a Friday, making everything easier.
Upon arriving at school, I received a quick hug from Alex, as well as a "Good morning." before walking inside.
"How is your morning treating you today, Shann." Alex asks, slipping his hand into mine.
"Pretty good for once, thank you. How about yours?" I reply, smiling down at our hands.
He looked as if he was thinking for a moment, "It's going great so far."
"That's good."
"Mmhm."
Walking into our hallway, we were rushed by Thomas and Lindsey, screaming random sentences in our faces.
"One at a time!" Alex laughed, letting go of my hand before they noticed, assuming that they hadn't already.
"Small party, my house, tonight, starts at five, spend the night if you want." Thomas shot at us in quick, uncompleted sentenced.
"Who's going?" I ask.
"Our group plus one of Thomas' cousins, our age." Lindsey replied.
Alex glanced at me, "I'll go."
"Me too."
"Great!" Thomas exclaims, "See you at lunch!"
Him and Lindsey then rushed down the hall, hand-in-hand, to find the next one I assume.
"That was random." Alex laughed, following me to our first class.
I laughed with him, "It's them."
"Very true."
