(Alyssa's P.O.V)
I gotta get out of here. They won't just kill me, not before they've had their way. I can't let that happen. I have to avenge T and Simone. I'don't care if I die trying, I'll take as many of them as I can with me.
I opened one eye partially to see if I was alone. I was back the room they had me in at the start. I gasped in pain as I felt my head beating like a drum. I went to hold my head with my hands, but couldn't. I looked down to see my wrists tied to the legs of the bed with some type of rope. No matter how hard I tried to pull my arms, it didn't do me any good. I propped myself against the dashboard to get a better view of the room. The curtains were partially opened, letting in a beam of sunlight. Morning? How long have I been out!?" The room was still as it was, except that they took the stool I'd tried to use as a weapon. I look over the bed to see if my bag was still there, but if wasn't there. Figures.
The events from before began to flood my mind. Particularly, the man who'd chased me down the yard and held a crossbow to my face. "Just you wait" I said to myself quietly.
I started to wiggle one of my wrists out of the bonds. I pulled as fast and quietly as I possibly could. I could feel the rope burns beginning to form on my skin, but I didn't care. I gotta get out of here.
After a minute, I got my right wrist out and got to work on my left wrist. I tried to not make much noise in case somebody was in the hallway. The knot looked easy to untie, but kept getting more and more complicated as I went on. Finally, I pulled out of the rope and examined my wrists. Both were red with irritation and started to bleed slightly. I winced in pain as I began to move them slowly.
I quietly slipped from the bed and walked to the mirror. I gasped as I saw that half of my flipping head shaved! The entire left side of my head was missing hair from the top of my ear down. I noticed a white bandage covering a majority of my head with some dried blood surrounding the bandage. I gently touched the tape and felt a pain shoot through my head. I gasped and rubbed the temples of my head. What happened?!
Suddenly, I heard footsteps walking down the hallway. I dove under the bed and held my breath. I shifted myself to look towards where the door was. No later, the door swung open and I saw a pair of black boots walk into the room. "What the hell?" The man said. I held my breath and tried to lower my heart rate, I could hear my heart beat in my ears. He began to walk back towards the door, but closed the door! The man walked to the end of the bed, directly in front of my face. "I know your in here Alyssa, come on out, I won't hurt ya." I widened my eyes, it was the crossbow guy! Wait, how does he know my name!? He began to walk off to my right and opened the closet door. As he searched in the closet, I slid myself from under the bed towards the door. I kept my eyes on the mans back as I gently stood myself up and tip toed to the door. I gently twisted the knob, but It wouldn't open. It was locked!
"Get on the ground" I heard from behind me. I whipped around to find him aiming his crossbow at me again. I could feel the anger surge through me. "What's the point!? Just kill me already! I'm not gonna keep being you guys prisoner, might as well get it over with!" I began to shake in anger. He stood his ground, but kept his finger on the trigger. "We told ya already! Simone and Theresa are here! They're the ones who brought you to us, you were hurt and they asked for our help." I kept shaking my head in anger, even if the pain in my head began to grow. "Your lying! If they are here, then where are they!?"
Before he could answer, the door knob began to twist from the outside. I pushed the door open, knocking down the person who opened it and ran down the stairs and out the door. I heard voices from behind me and footsteps. "Alyssa! Wait!" A voice yelled from behind, but I didn't care to listen and kept running,All I could hear was my heavy breathing. I ran down the path I had taken that night towards the camp site with that R.V. I ran to the door of it and flung it open. I dove in and slammed the door behind be. I locked the door and sat myself down on the floor. By now I could hear faint voices outside.
"How did she get out!?"
"Where did she go?"
"She couldn't have gotten far, spread out and look around, she could be hiding."
I began to panic as they spoke. I had to find some sort of weapon. I got up and looked in every cabinet and shelf I could. All there was was food and ammo. I went to the back and looked under the bed to find a small container underneath it. I opened the top of the little storage container and found nothing but some pliers and bandages. I let out a huff and shoved the box away from me. Just perfect!
Before I could stand up, I could hear the door at the front open. I shuffled over toward one of the corners and said "Don't come any closer! I got a gun and I'm not afraid to use it". No response. I began to make my way towards the opening when I heard a voice. "No you don't. You refuse to shoot anything if it isn't your pistols unless you have too". I felt as if my heart stopped beating for what seemed like forever. That voice!
I immediately showed myself in the doorway and saw a smiling T and Simone. I felt tears stream down my face as I ran to them. I wrapped my arms around both of them as they did the same. I let out a sob "I t-t-thought you g-guys were dead!" I felt T pull away from the hug and held onto my shoulders, looking into my eyes "No, we're okay, your okay, that's all that matters. We're family, we wouldn't leave you for anything in the world." Simone let out a small laugh "I keep forgetting that your younger than us, but you sound older." We all let out a small laugh.
I was home.
