(Simone's P.O.V.)
I led Lys and T out of the R.V. Back towards where Rick and Hershel stood by the campfire. Rick walked over and gave T and I a friendly pat on the shoulder before nodding towards Lys. "Glad to see things got sorted out," Lys looked down towards her feet while giving a low nod. She was always shy when she was around new people when everything was normal. Before I could get a word in, she mumbled "I'm sorry if I caused you any trouble. I don't do well with new people." Rick gave her a long look before he spoke again. "You have nothing to be sorry about. You didn't know what was going on and you were surrounded by people you didn't know." I gave her a pat on the shoulder "We're just happy your awake.....and not trying to kill Daryl." Lys gave me a confused look and looked between T, Rick, and I. "The crossbow guy?" She asked. T gave a light nod before shrugging her shoulders and giving off a chuckle "He had to carry you up to the house after you climbed up a huge ass tree." She kept laughing as she remembered the story we were told by Glenn. Apparently, she climbed out a bathroom window and high tailed it to the camp down the lawn with Daryl chasing after her. I couldn't help but laugh at the thought of Lys climbing up one of these tall trees. She hates heights just as much as I hate men who thought they were "all that".
I gave a toothed smile and gave Lys a side hug. "Come on, let's get back to the house. I'm sure You want to rest." Lys shook her head "No, I'm good. I've slept long enough. If it's okay with Rick, I'd like to meet some of the people here and apologize." Rick gave a nod "Of course. Why don't you and Simone go and talk to Dale. I'm sure you two will get along very well. If like to talk to T here for a minute."
I gave T and Rick a nod before I led Lys away from the pair. "Your gonna love Dale, he's very kind and loves to tell stories. He actually reminds me of your dad." I looked to my right and saw her face go pale. "I-I'm sorry.....I shouldn't have said anything." I felt my face go hot as I heard her quivering voice "it's fine....we can talk about it, just...later, alright?" I gave her a quick nod and gave her another side hug as we made our way to the house.
As we made it to the porch, i got a glimpse of that blonde bitch Andrea charge out of the house and down the steps. She looked to me and Lys and gave us, me in particular, a snarky smirk. She stopped at the end of the porch steps and had her arms crossed, blocking our way. "Well, look who finally decided to wake up. Had a good nap sleeping beauty?" I felt Lys tense next to me. She was never good with confrontations. Before she could say more, I stepped forward and got in her face "Listen old lady, Leave us alone and don't talk to her. If you know what's good for you, you'll stay away." She pursed her lips as if she wanted to say something, before she could say it, Lys grabbed my arm and dragged me up the steps, pushing Andrea out of the way.
Once we got in the house, I could hear the laughter coming from Lys. She rested her forehead on my shoulder and began to laugh hysterically. "Man, that was awesome! If it wasn't for what these people did, I would've let ya beat her to a pulp. Her face was priceless!!" I felt myself smile widely and shook my head "Ughh, let's just focus on one problem at a time. We still need to find Dale and Daryl." She stood up straight and shook her head.
I led her over to the kitchen where Lori, Dale, and Patricia were. It took some time, but Lys began to get more and more open with theme free an hour. By the time I could sneak out of the kitchen, they were talking about old fairy tales. Yep, that's Lys.
As I made my way to the hallway, I got a glimpse of Daryl leaning up against the wall, obviously listening in on the conversation. I gave him a 'what are you doing?' look. He shook his head and led me outside to the porch. "What was that all about? Why don't you just go in?". He looked down at his feet and stuffed his hands in his pockets. He tried to look anywhere but at me. "Nothing, can't a man just stand around and not be bothered?" I gave him a hard look and crossed my arms over my chest. I gave a small smirk "Awww, your trying to lie." He looked up and gave me a fake, angry look. "Was not!.....I just didn't want to bother her if she just woke up!" I gave a soft giggle and pat him on the shoulder. "Sure thing, lover boy. Just remember this, whatever you do to her, I do to you. Got that?" He looked at me like I had 10 heads and shook his head. "These damn girls....." As he began to make his way back inside. I smiled again and made my to T, who was making her way for the house to catch dinner. I raised my arms up like a champion "Looks like our little Lys is growing up!" T gave me a questioning look before asking "What the hell did you do now?" I threw an arm over her shoulder and mumbled "For once, it's not our fault." We both began to laugh as we made our way to the house for dinner.
