I couldn't sleep. All night I was rolling around my bed. It was comfortable and big, but I wish I were at my house. This place was different from my old life.

I started to think about my normal daily routine, hoping it would put me to sleep.

Every day, I would get up early in the morning, around 5:00 or so, and ride Pomade untill 6:30. Then I had to groom her. She was such a feisty little thing when it came to this part. Something about getting clean, I guess. But I was not a super country girl. After that I would get showered and dressed. That's about when my dad would go hit a cassino, since we lived in Los Angeles. Boy, did he love to gamble. Mom was at work by then, so I'd usually go to my friend's house or something.

My eye lids suddenly felt heavy and I let them shut. Next thing I knew, I was fast asleep.

When I woke up the next morning, I wasn't in my room. I layed on my bed, and stared around me. Accept I couldn't see anything. Everything around me was pitch black.

"How did they managed to get me from my room to this place without me waking up?" I wondered. I looked around me, and then I saw something.

Wires of every kind were hooked up to my body. What was going on?! I tried to remove one of the wires, and was successful, until a small red dot started flashing and I blacked out.

I woke up again in the exact same situation. Exept all the wires were hooked onto my body again. I could hear faint voices outside. Then a small door opened, letting a bright light fill the pitch black room, temporarily blinding me.

A man walked in. I couldn't see what he looked like. He walked over to the machine I was attached to and started clicking some buttons. I heard my name being spoken by the machine, then some information about me. The man clicked a few more buttons, then walked out, leaving me alone in the room once more.

At that moment, a green light flicked on and started to beep. I thought nothing of it until the beeping got louder. Finally, the beeping was blaring in my ear, however, the noise was now a steady screech. I wanted to cover my ears, but couldn't move.

Then, out of now where, came a brutal shock. I felt like I was just hit with lightning. A long lasting lightning bolt. The pain was unable. My head throbed and felt like it was about to explode, and I imagined this is what death would feel like. After about five minutes of torture, the electrical zaps stopped. Painful tears rolled down my face, the pain still in my body. I was dying, I'm sure of it. This seemed like the worst possible way to die. But oh, how I was wrong.
