Walking on my two bare legs was hard, because my body had been frozen so long. I started to explore the strange building when I heard soft footsteps that gradually grew louder.
A tall woman greeted me. "Hello," she said in an official tone. "My name is Miss Lae."
"Um," I said, trying to come up with the words to greet her, but for some reason nothing made sense.
"I will lead you to your bed room." Miss Lae said. I followed her as I got a better view of what she looked like. Dark, raven hair, green eyes, and bright, pink lips that didn't look quite natural.
We walked a bit further until we hit a wall. "This is your room. Now, before I let you settle in, do you have and questions?"
"Of course I have questions!" I blurted out before I knew what I was doing. I quickly threw my hands over my mouth in shock.
She looked at me for a second and just laughed.
"What's so funny?!" I asked starting to raise my voice.
"Nothing!" She said earnestly, containing her laugh now. "I just didn't expect someone of you age to act as you just did." I saw what she was getting at and shut myself up.
"Now," she said in her calm voice again. "Can I hear some of your questions?"
I paused for a moment, then asked her.
"Where am I, how did I get here, and where is my family?"
"Those are wonderful questions, but I'm afraid I can't answer all of them."
"Why not?!" I shouted.
"Well, first, you are in Eleno's Academy for the magical, second, you were transported hear, but where your family is located is classified information." With that, she shoved me into my bedroom and shut the door, locking me in.
