It feels like we've been walking forever. How far can the academy really be?
I look at Jaspen, who's face is expressionless. "Jaspen, how did you find me?" I ask him. He pauses where he's at and sighs.
"I can't tell you right now. It's not the right time." I nod like I understand, when I really didn't. "I'll explain it all to you at the academy. I promise."
So many questions were running through my head right now. Like, what happened to that other girl, Gavin? And I still have no clue why Jaspen stabbed me.
We walk in silence the rest of the way.

After a few more hours of walking, we finally reached the academy steps. A huge crowd greeted us, cheering up and down with signs welcoming me back. I never realized that anyone actually misses me here.
Random people were pushing through the mob of humans just to shake our hands, and a guy was staring at me from the back of the room. What had happened while I was gone?
Just then, a blaring noise comes from somewhere behind the line of people. "Yes, I know we are all very excited to see India back as well as Jaspen. But please, this is getting out of hand. Calm down!" The voice belonged to Ms. Lae, and she was using a microphone to be heard over everyone.
The party went on for awhile after that announcement, but everyone dialed down. There were so many refreshments I had never even seen in my life before. I didn't get to try any of them though, because I was forced to sit on a throne type chair on a high stand to be "stared upon in wonder and cherished for my beauty."
I snickered. I mean, who really even does that? Ya, ok I didn't die back there in that place, but was all of this really necessary? It's not even that special.
Jaspen was sitting next to me in another chair that looked just like mine. He seemed to be perfectly ok with all of this. Gosh, he's ok with everything that happens. Does he even have emotions?
Soon Ms. Lae was at the microphone again, about to make another announcement.
"May I have everyone's attention please?" The crowd immediately settled down. "Thank you. As you all know, India and Jaspen did the unthinkable. They found the terral!" Everyone cheered in awe, but confusion took me.
When did we ever find the terral? And wasn't that the thing that the woman wanted?
Ms. Lae's voice spoke again. "We will now start the auction. Let's start with Jaspen." She pointed at him and all the girls screamed like One Direction fans at a concert.
"We will start the bid at $250." I took in a sharp breath of air. They were bidding us, not the terral. Us, human beings.
I was screaming on the inside. I AM SO NOT an item you can just bid for money! But on the outside, I showed nothing. Just like Japsen.
The bids for Jaspen slowly got higher. We were now at $526. It was between 3 girls for him. I wished I could just slap all of them and tell them to leave him alone.
More numbers were called out. "$724!" "$783!" "$800!" Ms. Lae's voice, "Going once, going twice, sold! A brunette squealed, handed Ms. Lae some money, took Jaspen by the hand and ran off with him torward the dorms.
I was next. I was doomed.
The guys weren't nearly as exited with me as the girls were with Jaspen, but they did seem pretty pleased with my outlook. I wouldn't call myself gorgeous, but lots of people said that I was pretty, I guess.
Just like Jaspen's run, the bid started at $250 and started to move upward. "$378!" "$425!" I wasn't really paying attention to the numbers. I just sat there like a cold, hard, statue. "$960!" "$1000!"
I looked up at the person who had call out $1000. He was buff, but the opposite of attractive. I was only praying that someone else would call out a higher number than him.
"Going once!" Called Ms. Lae. "Going twice!" Please no! "$2000!" Someone else called out. "Going once, twice, sold!"
It was that guy. The one who was staring at me from the back of the room. He walked up to where I was standing, handed Ms. Lae $2000 and grabbed onto my wrist.
He lead me to the dorms into his room. It looked just like Jaspen's, except all the furniture was rearranged in a different order.
"What are you going to do with me?" I asked him. He took a seat on his bed and leaned back. "Anything I want with you. I own you for the next 24 hours."
Hellooooooooooo my wonderful followers! It is I! Ainsley! I am so sorry I didn't post this chapter sooner. I totally forgot, so I just started writing it on Tuesday, all the way through Wednesday, and I kept telling myself that I needed to finish it, and I did! Unfortunately, because I started writing so late, I will only be posting one chapter this week, but not counting this postscript, the chapter is 801 words, which is pretty long, considering that my normal chapters and about 400-500 words, so ya! I hope you enjoyed this chapter. I know it was kind of weird, but I'm sure you probably liked reading it. Anyways, have a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year! ☺
