Zak's P.O.V.

After making a quick stop at Starbucks to get my brother’s morning coffee drink and escaping a really horrendous traffic, I finally reached my destination. I parked my car and rushed towards the front revolving door of the 30 storey building that is my brother's company.

It had a huge “Zapper” sign on the topmost storey. The building was taller in comparison to the other ones around it. It was quite impressive, actually.

As I rushed in, I headed for the elevator greeting Steve, the receptionist who sat on his desk with a stone cold face. He never ever replied my greetings from the day I started working here. I don't know what I ever did to him, but I supposed that one of these days I would summon up the courage to ask him about it.

Once I was in the elevator I hit the button for the top floor which happened to be where I and my brother’s office where situated. With my bag and brother’s coffee in my hand, I checked my watch. It was 9:15.

I groaned inwardly because my brother was going to chew me raw for bringing in his latte late. He always like to drink it by 9:00.

I tapped my foot impatiently as I waited for the elevator to reach the top floor. I was going to get it good from Logan.

“Ding”, the elevator chimed as it reached my destination. I rushed out, taking quick steps across the hall to my brothers office. I dropped my bag on my desk which happened to be just outside my brother’s office.

His door was closed so I placed my hand on the handle and turned it slowly, praying he was in the bathroom so that I could just tiptoe in to drop the drink on his table and hurry out without him noticing me.

As I opened the door enough to take a peep inside, I could see him in his office chair, facing out the large window towards the amazing view of downtown. He was speaking on the phone which, I assumed was important, since he was talking in his business-like voice.

I entered slowly, leaving the door ajar and walking towards his desk stealthily to drop off the drink.

“What do you mean by that?!” Logan yelled into his phone which made me freeze on the spot, halfway to his desk. “I want my daughter's Hello Kitty toys to be delivered to my house by the weekend or you will be a new addition to the unemployed population of this state!” he threatened, and with that I covered the distance to his desk quietly, dropped the coffee and rushed towards the door.

“Freeze!”, my brother growled, as I reached to close the door behind me. I gulped and turned around slowly to face his wrath. He was still in the same position he was in when I first entered. I had been like a ninja. He literally must have had eyes on the back of his head

“It’s 9:20 and I still haven't had my Butterscotch Latte with soy milk, topped with whipped cream and a touch of peppermint.” he hissed.

“I'm sorry, my neighbors moved out today and they delayed me and I got caught up in traffic and tried my best to get it here on time.” I complained while fiddling with my fingers. “I still got it here if you still want it.”, I added with a smile.

“Yaddi yaddi yah. Save your complaints for Old McDonald.”, he mocked while turning around in his office chair to face me with a smirk on his face and his fingers laced together.

“Sorry.”, I repeated with a light voice. “Happy Thursday.”, I pointed out.

“Mmeh.”, he shrugged before reaching out for the drink, taking a sip from it then smacking his lips together while looking away thoughtfully, possibly reveling in the taste.
