Brenda's P.O.V.
After Zak left, I was going to march upstairs to Oliver's room to have a chat with him. His behavior towards Zak was immature and uncalled for. The poor guy was just trying to be nice to us. Hell, he was the only neighbor that even came to welcome us. The other ones just gave us creepy stares and glares.
What the hell was his problem? I hoped he wasn't still moping about Ryan. He told me he had stopped. Besides, I didn't even like the guy when they used to date. He always called me Brends and I hated that name so much. He was always hanging onto Oliver like a leech and acting cutesy with him. I found him really annoying.
It better not be about Ryan because if it was, i was going to kick his ass all the way to the moon and back to knock some sense into him.
As i was about to head towards the stairs, there was a rapid knock on our door. I wanted to tell Isabel, who was in the kitchen, hovering over the pie like a fly, to get it but when I heard the voice of the person on the other end of the door, I squealed and hurried to open it.
“Hellooo, anybody home?”, my best friend Skye called out in her unusually high-pitched voice as I reached for the door handle.
I opened it and there stood my best friend in her very colorful and loud outfit, with different colors of extensions sticking out from her long, light blonde hair and about seven pieces of luggage lying around her.
We had been best friends since high school and made a promise to each other to go to the same college. She was a junior too. She was definitely a unique person and she had a really weird style of dressing. She always managed to incorporate all the colors of the rainbow into one outfit. Her style always contradicted mine which was just really plain and it made people always wonder why we were such good friends, being so different from one another. People often gave her weird looks and made comments about her appearance. That never stopped her though, which was one of the things I adored about her. She was proud of who she was inside and out and didn't let anyone intimidate her. She was the greatest best friend a girl could ever ask for.
“Aaaaaahhhhhh!”, we both screamed at the top of our lungs while jumping up and down with excitement, hugging each other tightly.
“About time you got here.” I exclaimed. “What took you so long?”
“I know I know. It took me a lot of time to pack my stuff as you can see here,” she pointed to her luggage. “And I had to stop by the mall to buy a new set of clothes for this semester and I got you and Isabel some really cute clothes that you will loveee.”, she drawled the last part dramatically while making crazy gestures with her hands. She always did that every semester, buying a new wardrobe and tacking stuff on for us.. She came from a wealthy family and definitely used it to her advantage.
“Aww, thanks a lot,” I hugged her. “You do way too much for me and I always feel guilty because I can't get you anything because you obviously have everything.”
“Don't sweat it. You are my best friend and I love to spend money on you and besides shopping makes me look younger. These incredible high cheekbones and flawless body don't just happen.”, she gestured to her face and body.
“Ok your royal shopaholic, now get your ass in here.”, I laughed, helping her to drag her heavy, overstuffed luggage into the house.
“Isabel, get over here and help me with Skye luggage!”, I yelled, struggling to drag in one of them.
