Ivy

Texas

That's where my hand had landed not to long ago. Now here I am looking at the screen in front of me with the house on the screen. Maybe I was really supposed to have a change in my life. It was just offered a week ago so that was amazing for me.It said that there is only one neighbor and that was it. I guess I could live with that, it was a small town and I heard that everyone knows everyone so I could make friends.

Looking for the realtors number I saw it along with her email. Picking up my phone I called the number. Waiting for her to pick up, if she would even answer at all.

"Dawson speaking, how may I assist you."

"Hi, I saw the open house for sale that is by the ranch," I spoke.

"Oh yes, it is still available for sale, would you like to see it?

"Well, i'm not in Texas now, but I was planning to be there soon. Would it be ok to make an appointment to see the house later?"

"It doesn't look like anyone else has wanted to see the property, so I can schedule a date for you. Tell me what date and time and we will be set to go." She told me

"I was hoping to be there by the weekend so how does saturday sound." I asked looking for my pen to write that down

"All good, I would like you to send me all the forms and paperwork so that if you do like the house and qualify you can move in that day. How's that sound? I will also have a few keys set aside for you. Let me email you the paperwork and we will be all set." I heard shuffling around in the background.

"Thank you Ms.Dawson and have a great day." Hanging up I walked back towards the computer and opened my email waiting the paperwork.

It wasn't there so I looked for my landlord's number. Finding it I called the number.

"Hello?" I heard Mrs. Jefferson speak

"It's me Mrs.Jefferson, Ivy from apartment number three-one -five on the third floor." Stating my name

"Hello Ivy dear how have you been." She spoke softly

"Great Mrs. Jefferson, I wanted to talk to you about my lease. I am about to move and wanted to know if I could get out of my last month here. I can pay the rent for the next two months if you would like." I said to her.

"That's sad to hear but don't worry about the rent dear, you can come down to the office later and fill out the release forms alright."

"I will and thank you I'm going to miss this apartment it was my first one to have on my own."

"Just come by the office." She hung up the phone

I then spent the last few hours calling all my bill collectors and the heading to the office to fill out the forms.

Few hours later

I had set a date to get all moved out by this weekend, so I had about four days to do so. Taking a road trip there is the plan since I don't really have enough  money to buy a plane ticket to Texas. I was really excited to be getting away from all the wrong here. Don't get me wrong here there are some good factors here in Virginia but something new is exactly what i'm ready for.

I had to go to Home Depot to get boxes so I can get started on the move. Grabbing my keys, phone, and purse I walked out the door and towards my car. Getting inside the car I put my things on the passenger seat and then started the car.  Waiting for the car to warm up I turned the radio on and tried to find a good station. I finally found a station playing one direction's song Perfect I clapped with glee. Sitting half way through the song the car was finally getting warm so I clipped my seat belt on. Looking both ways I pulled off of the curb and got on the road heading for the store. The store was probably a good thirty minuets away for where my little apartment was.
