Donovan's POV~
Only five more minutes until school is out. Five more minutes until I don't have to listen to my boring teacher anymore. And five more minutes until I get to see who my tutor is. The suspense is killing me!
I have no idea why I'm excited to meet someone, but I am. Looking over to the clock I see that there are only two minutes left. Everyone's starting to pack up, so I started to packing up as well. I hope it's not someone who thinks I'm stupid. Who treats me like a preschooler, looking down on me for my lack of understanding. That would suck! I hope they have some respect for me as I would have for them. God, I hate waiting to find out. I just want to know who my tutor is already!
The bell rang just as I had finished putting my chair up onto the desk. I quickly went to my locker and got the things I needed. The speed I was using to go to my locker and get my stuff surprised me. I'm pretty sure that this is the fastest I have ever walked. Yet I still had no idea why I was so eager to meet a person.
As I entered the library I looked around hastily. There were already some teachers and student tutors helping out students. I walked towards the librarian's desk. When I got to her desk she looked up from her computer and said, "May I help you?" I handed her the piece of paper the councilor gave me.
"Okay, your student tutor will be a little late. You can go and find an empty table, start on your homework and wait," she said pointing to the tables that are set up inside.
Mumbling a thank you I went to an empty table in the back corner of the library. Once I sat down I took out my math homework out and started doing it. After a couple minutes, I heard the door open. Turning around in my seat I look towards the door to see who it is. Coming through the door was Ian.
Wow I haven't seen him in such a long time. He looks completely different from 7th grade. I thought to myself.
Ian was wearing black converse with blue jeans that hugged his legs. He also had on his normal large coat that always covered his arms and hands. His signature look.
I soon realized that I was staring at him for a long time. Turning back to my book I continued doing my homework.

Ian's POV~
Walking into the library I went straight towards the librarian's desk.
"Hello, Mrs. Hambee," I said smiling at her.
"Hello, Ian. I have your paper work right here," she said handing me pieces of paper.
"Okay, is he here yet?" I asked scanning the room for Donovan. Finding him at a table near the back corner of the library.
"Yes, he's here. Now when ever you give tutoring sessions you need to sign in on this." She said handing me another piece of paper.
" 'Kay, thank you," picking up the papers I started walking to where Donovan is sitting.
Once I got to his table I looked over his shoulder to see what he was working on math. Putting my bag down I take a seat in the chair opposite of him. He looked up confusion written on his face. The confused look then turned to a smile. Showing off his set of teeth.
"Hey Ian," he said after looking around.
"Hey, Donovan. What you workin' on?" I responded back.
"Some math homework. Wait are you my new tutor?" he asked confusion on his face again.
"Well I wouldn't say new, but yeah I'm your tutor again."
"Well that's cool," he said then went back to doing his homework.
"Having any trouble?" I asked him pointing to his work.
"Uh, yeah. I'm having trouble with this problem." He said pointing to an equation. I looked it over and saw that it was algebra.
"Okay so first you have to group all the numbers and letters that look like each other together," I said. He started scribbling down what to do. "Next you try to get the 'x' on one side of the equal sign." He wrote down what I said and looked up at me for more help. "And finally just divide each side by the number next to the 'x'."
"So the answer is 2?" he asked looking over his work.
"Yup."
He continued working on his homework silently. When I saw that he didn't need help on the next problem, I started filling out the paper work.
Wow, this is a lot of things I have to fill out. I thought as I filled in the necessary information.
After a while, Donovan closed his book and started to put his thing away. "You done?" I asked.
He looked at me and replied, "Yeah. I only had math homework today. What you workin' on?"
"Paper work so I can get high school and college credits."
"You almost done?"
"Yeah. I just need to fill this last one out of you," I said.
" 'Kay," he said.
"Name?"
"Donovan Downs," he said as I started writing in the blanks.
"Age?"
"16,"
"Sex?"
"Really Ian?" He said raising a brow.
"Hey you never know," I said with a serious face. Looking down to his lower region raising my brow.
"OK. Male,"
"Birth date?"
"January, 17 "
"OK," I said filling in the rest of the stuff that was easy, "Now what subjects will I be helping you in?"
"Um. . . I think all of them, except science. That stuff isn't really hard for me. "
"Okay, now just sign here," I gave him a pen and the paper for him to sign. Once he was done he gave it back to me and I signed it. "So the tutoring session will last from about half to a whole hour long. They will be three times a week unless you need more then we will schedule when you need the extra times. Today is Wednesday so on Friday will be our last session of the week."
I then looked at the clock and saw that our time was up.
"It looks like we're done then," he said.
"Yup," I said popping the 'p'. We both got up from the table and went to the door.
"Okay, see you on Friday Ian," he said as he started walking down the hall.
"Bye!" I call out turning around and going the other way, heading to my car.
