Donovan's POV~

The next morning I slowly stepped out of Tyler's car. Grabbing my backpack I throw it over my shoulders.

"I'm staying for all of football practice today," I said to Tyler as he was getting out of the car.

"Whatever. I'm not coming back to get you through," he said walking ahead of me.

"Don't worry you don't have to come back. I'll just get one of my friends to drive me home," I said, knowing that he wouldn't come back either way. as we neared the building, Tyler saw his friends leaning against the flag pole. All of them in a line. Watching the other students pass by them.

We both stopped waking together and headed our separate ways.

Stepping inside the school building I began searching for my friends. More specifically for Kylee, needing her to answer the question I have on Ian. I instantly spot them in the middle of the commons. Some with energy drinks and others with coffee cups. Everyone is there, but Kylee. Going over to Thomas I nudge him with my elbow.

"Hey, Donovan. What's up?" he said turning to me.

"Hey, have you seen Kylee?" I ask right away. Still looking around for her.

"Um, I think she's in a meeting," he said looking around at our group of friends.

"Do you know when she'll be out?" I asked a bit of desperation in my voice.

"No, but it'll probably be over once the first bell rings," he said looking at the clock on the wall. I impatiently sigh at his answer. "Why do you need to talk to her so bad?" Thomas asked, giving me a weird look.

"I just need to ask her a question," I said continuing to look around. Just in case she already got out of the her meeting.

"Well you'll have to wait 'till lunch to ask her," Thomas said," you know how she won't be wondering the halls if she gets out early."

I sighed again, knowing that Thomas is right. I'll just have to wait linger before I can ask her the question.

The three classed I had to endure before lunch, couldn't have been any longer. Every time I looked at the clock it look like the time was actually going back. And since Kylee is way smarter than me, I have no classed with her. As I enter the cafeteria my eyes instantly starts looking for my short red head friend. As my eyes look around I spot Ian walking toward his group of friends.

Looking at him right now all I see is the old Ian. The one that was always to shy to talk. Yet even though he is no longer shy, his body language still shows the old him. Especially his large sweater. Hiding his body to the outside world. The sleeves longer than his arms, covering his hands my mere inches. The bottom of it reaching mud-thigh on him.

Looking toward my table I spot Kylee walking toward it. I quickly jog up to her before she reaches the table. I don't want my friend to question me on why I'm asking questions on Ian.

"hey Kylee," I say as I reach her, pulling on her elbow. Turning around she smiles when she sees me.

"Hey Donovan. Thomas was telling me that you were looking for me," she said.

"Yeah, I need to ask you a question,"

"Oh, ok. What is it?"

"It's kind of personal. Can we talk outside or in the hall?" I ask looking around. Making sure no one is listening in on our conversation.

"Uh. . . yeah. Let's go talk outside," she said her eyes scanning my face.

Walking outside, I continue to look around, especially towards my group of friends. As we step outside we walk towards the track. A place where we can talk privately without the fear of someone hearing us. For a couple of minutes we walk in silence, as I try to word my question right in my head. Kylee glancing at me every thirty seconds, but not trying to rush me.
