[A/N] Ian Garcia will be portrayed by Louis Tomlinson.
Donovan's POV~
The weekend went by really fast. mostly because during the whole time, all I was thinking about what Ian told me. I still can't believe that he's gay. I don't know why my brain just can't wrap around that idea of Ian being gay.
It's currently third period English. Right now I'm sitting down doing my work when the teachers phone rings. He stops talking to one of my classmates and goes to answer it. As he sets down the phone he tells me to go to coach Greg's office. I get up, heading toward the gym. When I get to his office I knock on the door and wait for a response.
"Come in!" yelled coach Greg. I walk in, closing the door behind me, and see coach Greg at his desk wearing his usual attire. Sweatpants, sweatshirt, baseball cap, and a black whistle hanging around his neck. He lifts his head up from his desk and gesture me to sit. I make my way to his desk and sit in one of the chairs in font of it.
"You wanted to see me coach," I say leaning back in the chair.
"Yes, I wanted to talk to you about practices," he said folding his hands on top of his desk. "You have been late to practice twice already. Care to explain why?" he asked folding his arms over his chest. An un-pleased look on his face.
"I have tutoring sessions after school three times a week," I said some fear showing in my voice.
"Well if you want to keep playing on this team you need to start showing up on time. You are one of our best players and missing practice could lose us many games. What time do your sessions end?"
"At three o'clock," I said sitting up straight in my chair.
"Well tell your tutor to change the time for your sessions. I don't want you to be late today. Do you understand me?"
"Yes sir. I'll talk to my tutor and have my tutoring schedule changed," I said getting up form my chair and heading for the door.
"Who's your tutor?" he asked as I got to the door.
"Ian Garcia. Why?"
Nodded his head, he turned towards his computer and said, "Ian Garcia, huh? Well I think I'll have a a little chat with him today," he looked away from his computer and checked to see if I was still there. "What are you doing standing here?! You're free to go!"
I quickly dashed out of his office and I into the halls.
*****
When I got back to class there was only a minute left until lunch time. As I finished putting my stuff away, the bell rang. I ran out of the classroom as fast as I can. Once I got to the lunch room I saw my best friend, Thomas, in the lunch line.
Thomas is my best friend since grade school. Thomas, like me, is one of the popular jocks. But he's a very weird jock. Sometimes Thomas can be shy and quiet. And other times Thomas is one of your stereotypical jocks. The only thing that separates him from a stereotypical jock is that he is very smart. He is the only person on the football team who is in the honor society. Yet he is still one of the good players on our team.
"Hey Thomas," I said as I got near him.
"Hey Donovan," he said giving me a smile and handing me a lunch tray. As we headed to our table, after paying for our lunches, I asked Thomas a question.
