You Know Darkness Always Turns to Light [Dan Howell Fan-Fiction]

Chapter 6 - Part 2

Me, Dan, Phil, Chelsea, and Manny walked around for a while until we finally found something that looked somewhat interesting.

 "Hey look! A ferris wheel thing!" Phil shouted excitedly and pointed to the...well...ferris wheel thing. "Why would they have a ferris wheel in the middle of nowhere?" Dan asked. "Well, this is a different planet, so that might contribute to it, doofus." Chelsea said sarcastically. Dan stuck his tongue out at her. "Alright guys, let's try not to fight, okay?" I asked. "Fine, but it's not my fault he's stupid." Chelsea replied. "HEY!" Dan yelled. 

"So, um, I guess I'll just be riding this ferris wheel thing by myself..." Phil said and started walking towards the ferris wheel. "I wanna ride it too!" Manny said excitedly. "Me three." I said and walked towards Phil and Manny. Chelsea and Dan stayed behind while arguing with each other. I'm not even going to try...

We did manage to get onto the ferris wheel, even with the fighting.  It was a bit farther away than we'd anticipated, but oh well, what you gonna do about it?  It was completely weird.  Ferris wheels belong at fairs and stuff, but here we were, riding on this contraption in the middle of nowhere.  There was no operator of the wheel, we just had to push a button once we were seated and it started.

 After the somewhat awkward ride, with the five of us smooshed together and trying not to get irritated, we got hungry.

 "So, what's for lunch?" Phil was the first to ask.

I looked at our surroundings.  There was basically nothing here.

 "Umm, I don't know," I said.  "On a somewhat unrelated topic, does anyone know where we are or how to get back?"  

There was a long pause, as we waited expectantly for someone else to answer.

 Just silence.

 Like, I've never heard anyone be that quiet.

 Dan coughed quietly.  "Well, I'm going to say that's a no.  We don't know where we are, Chloe."

 Chelsea snorted.   "Just cuz the rest of you don't know nil, does not mean I can't find out way back."

 Manny looked hopefully at her.  "You can get us back to food?"

 Chelsea shrugged.  "Not necessarily, but I'm just saying."

 Another pause.  "Well then," Dan said. "How about we walk that way?" He pointed in some general direction.  "I think we approached the wheel from that way, so that way we go."  He started walking off.  Phil and I obediently followed.  Manny and Chelsea hesitated a second longer before following.
