I walked slowly towards the Sandlot shaking every two seconds. After last nights conversation with my dad he got all excited and told me we were leaving in two days and since he told me that last night it means I'm leaving tomorrow. I couldn't just leave the boys with no explanation I already saw how that ended with my dad.

They all stopped playing and looked at me. We haven't talked since I ran out on them and other then Benny they all still thought I was upset. They all dropped there gloves and ran towards me.

"Bobby!"

"We're really sorry"

"I'm so glad your back"

"We shouldn't of said that"

"Are you okay?"

All came from the group that I put my hands up to signal them to stop from saying more. They all shut up and I put my hands down.

"Guys I have to tell you something" I stuttered and they all looked concerned. Once they didn't answer I took that as my cue to speak.

"As most of you probably know my Dad made an appearance and I have been talking to him and we have both agreed to something" I started and they looked nervous but nodded.

"I'm leaving to go to France with him, I'm gonna finish the rest of this year and Senior year, next year there and then I will be coming back" I said and they all grew sad faces.

"That's basically two years" Smalls said and I nodded as a tear fell from my eye.

"What the hell is this again" I screeched as I tried to wipe them away and Benny laughed handing his bat to Bertram before walking over to me. He wiped away my tears with his thumbs.

"Your crying, because you care" he said and I shook my head crying harder.

"I'm gonna miss you guys so much" I said hugging Benny and the all 'awed' before joining in a group hug.

"Can you guys all come to my house at 5 before I leave for the airport?" I asked and they all nodded.

"I will be back before you know it"

"Honey say your last goodbyes before we leave" My Dad said and I nodded looking at the row of boys, my mom and, Mr and Mrs's Rodriguez. I started over at Smalls.

"I'm so mad the summer I didn't play at the Sandlot happened to be the summer you came. I would of loved to see you get so good at base ball. I'm glad I got to know you at some point though, your a great kid and you make my day when you still smile wide when you catch the ball or throw it" I said and he laughed trying not to cry hugging me. I went to Timmy next.

"Ol Tim, in third grade he put play dough in my hair and threw blocks at me during free time but when it came to playing baseball I was your first pick for a team, thanks for the memories" I said hugging him and he nodded into my shoulder. Then was Tommy.

"You buddy need to stop copying your brother you are your own person and that is a great way to be. You such a cute kid and I will miss you so much. When I come back hopefully you can speak for yourself" I said and he giggled hugging me. Then of course was Ham.

"You, even though you have known I could play since we were younger you would never stop with the girls can't play baseball but I could beat you in anything anyway but you would never admit it but that pushed me and if you weren't there I possibly wouldn't be as a good a player as I am now. Also I still haven't forgiven you for putting paint on my chair in 7th grade" he started laughing before hugging me.

"Squints, trust me Wendy Peffercorn will be right around the corner I can just see it and she deserves you, you have always stuck up for me no matter what and I will be forever grateful of that" he smiled and hugged me also.

"Bertram Grover Weeks I remember one year you got all the kids in school to make fun of me because of my pigeon toes since I walked inward when we were younger oh and I hated you for the longest time because of that" I said laughing and he laughed to.

"Well that's because you had everyone treating me like a dog because you said only dogs were named Grover" he said and I laughed before hugging him.

"Kenny, Kenny, Kenny you always thought you could strike me out but he sad thing was you never could but I will be honest from all the different things you tried is really good for a couple of kids playing for fun and don't loose that because it can get you somewhere" I said and he nodded hugging me.

"Yeah Yeah I remember hating you right away because you just happened to show up into Benny's life and become his guy best friend and I hated the fact it wasn't just me but soon I got over it and learned to love you too and we would always sit together in class if we didn't have it with Benny and we would pick on him together and we got almost as close as me and Benny and that's really hard to do" I hugged him and he smiled. Next was my Mom.

"You honestly weren't my friend after dad left. You were a real jerk to me and maybe when I come back we can start over but your always gonna be my mom and thank you for being the one to stay with me" I said and she kissed my forehead before hugging me.

"Mr and Mrs's Rodriguez you were the parents I never had and I love you as much as a kid loves there parents your raised me along with mine and you know me as good as them. Also make sure Benny doesn't do anything bad without me around I don't need him getting in trouble without my eye on him" I said and they laughed before bringing me into a hug. Then I looked at the brown eyed boy I have known all my life.

"Now for Ben the annoying brat who can never shut his trap but I can't be mean to or else he can tell everyone about my secrets because he was that stupid kid I bathed with when I was younger and grew up with as a brother but with all his annoyingness he found the biggest part in my heart to fill and I will miss him more then anything because he is my other half, the last piece to the puzzle, and anything else I need to be complete. You have always been there and for the time we were apart I'm glad we're back together now I mean I remember when we were 8 and someone convinced you girls were gross you stopped talking to me for a week and I was heartbroken how managed two years is beyond me" everything I said was completely true. I felt like I was saying goodbye forever to everyone. He leaned down and wrapped his arm around my waist as I wrapped mine around his neck. He lifted me up off my feet then set me back down.

"Remember what I said about life being an adventure?" He asked and I nodded.

"The newest chapter just began" he said and I laughed and nodded. He leaned down and kissed me on the lips. This time the boys didn't say anything but our parents were amazed. We stopped and I looked at my dad.

"Ready?" He asked and I nodded and looked back at everyone.

"Ready" I said and he nodded as we both got in the car. He started it up and we drove off. I watched everyone until I couldn't see them anymore.

I'm glad baseball was my Obssesion or else I wouldn't of ever had the adventure I did.
