Imagine: Alex
" (Y/N) are you ready I've been sitting here for over an hour now" my best friend Alex Constancio yells from downstairs.
"Oh shut it Alex I will be down in a minute" I say taking a little extra time to get ready. It's not my fault I didn't get Alex's text till late. Plus I only needed a few extra minutes to get ready so I had just told him to wait.
"Are you done yet you take longer than your mom to get ready" Alex said entering into my bedroom and sitting down on my bed.
" You know when you complain you sound like a five year old right. Plus I just finished so you can stop the complaining Alex." I say stepping out of my walk in closet in a pair of black denim shorts that just barely stopped bellow my glutes and a white tube top with a black and red plaid shirt which are my two favorite colors on top.
I look up at Alex and notice he is starring at down at me with his mouth open. He has only looked at me like this once before and that's how I knew I looked good.
"Alex babe close your mouth your gonna catch a fly or something" I say with a soft chuckle. The two of us always tease each other and call each other babe. He snapped out of his train of thought at the words I had spoken.
"We'll you definitely can't go out looking like that every single guy will practically be undressing you with their eyes."he says looking directly into my eyes now. He's trying to maintain eye contact so he wouldn't look.
"Well I don't really mind and I don't have a boyfriend so he won't mind" I say shrugging my shoulders. I'm also just trying to prove my point that what I wear doesn't matter. I had always liked Alex but I valued our friendship to much to tell him. He looked down after I had said that and almost seemed upset.
"Alex why are you upset I wasn't being that serious if you want me to change I will. I mean we are just going to the park I didn't think wearing this was that upsetting." I say making my way towards the bed and sit myself down next to him resting you head on his shoulder. Alex mumbled something that I couldn't quite hear causing me to pick my head up from his shoulder to look at him.
"What did you say Alex I..." was all I got out before I was cut of by Alex's soft lips crashing onto mine. The kiss was short and almost simple but when he pulled away he got up and left my room without saying another word. I sit there confused for a second before getting up and sprinting down the stairs and out the front door. When I finally caught up to Alex he was in my drive way walking towards his car.
"Alex can you please explain to me why you just kissed me and left." I ask trying to sound like it was no big deal but inside I was jumping for joy or at least I was until he basically sprinted away from me afterwards.
"I love you (Y/N) I always have and thats why it bothers me you would wear that in public just to impress other guys. If you want to wear those outfits for yourself that's fine but hearing you say its for other guys makes me sick." he said looking me directly in the eyes.
"I don't know what to say Alex I umm" I was trying to find the right words or way to show him I liked him to. His eyes examine my face before stopping on my eyes again. He shifts his weight awkwardly on his feet almost like he's holding himself back.
"Look I get it if you don't ....." He begins but was quickly cut off by my lips pressing against his. Our lips danced softly as Alex smiles into the kiss now knowing I feel the same way.
"I love you (Y/N)" Alex says pulling away from the kiss and resting his forehead softly against mine.
"I love you too Alex" I say smiling up at him causing a small smile to make its way onto his lips.
"There's only one thing left I have to say" Alex says making me slightly nervous.
"What is that Alex" I say pulling my forehead off of his so I can get a better look at his face.
"Will you be my girlfriend" he asks looking me directly in the eye and smiling. He and I hadn't even been on a date yet and he was ready to ask me to be his girlfriend.
"Alex" I say letting out a soft sigh.
"We haven't even been on a first date yet." I say causing his smile to fall slightly.
"This is true but you've been my best friend since we were little. I've always known you were the one for me and I don't need a date to prove that. So will you (Y/N Y/L/N) please be my girlfriend." he says confidently bringing the full smile back onto his face.
"Yes I will be your girlfriend Alex." I say smiling up at him. He was right I've always know Alex was the one for me. He leans down and places another kiss on my lips. We stay like this for what feels like minutes just enjoying the embrace of this kiss. I finally pull away from Alex and let out a deep breath.
"Now can we please go to the park" I say smiling up at my boyfriend and best friend all in one.
