Your pov
"Alright class of 2015 it's coming up to the last week before Prom so don't forget to stop by our front office and buy your tickets we only have a few left" the afternoon announcement lady said finishing off. You looked over at your bestfriend Austin and smiled.
"Are you still planning on going to prom even though you can't find a date" you asked him not breaking eye contact.
"Yeah prom only comes once and if I don't find a date maybe ...." Austin got out before being cut off by your teacher.
"Alright class turn to page 120 and begin reading" she said sitting down in her chair and looking over at her computer. everyone in the room pulled out there books and started reading. You were in the middle of a paragraph when a folded piece of paper was placed on your desk.
Come over to my house today after school.

You quickly folded up the note and looked over at him and smiled. You two continued on with your work. The bell finally rang signalling the end of the day and you collected your stuff and headed to your locker.
"Hey (y/n) you ready" Austin said appearing after a few minutes. You nodded your head yes and finished putting your books in your locker and closed it. You two made it out to his car and took the short drive to his house.
"Im gonna go use the restroom I be there in a minute" you said turning into the bathroom as Austin handmade his way to his room. You quickly used the restroom and straightened yourself out before heading towards his room. You walk in to find him laying flat on his back staring at the ceiling. You slowly make your way over to him and lay down next to him placing a quick kiss to his cheek, before laying your head on his chest. He wrapped his arms around you and placed a small kiss to your forhead. You two stay this way for a few minutes before you decide to speak up.
"What are we gonna do about prom" you asked tilting your head up to look at him.
"Well it's in a week and everyone's either got a date or a group to go with so maybe..." Austin was cut off by your phone ringing lightly in your pocket.
"Hold that thought" you said pulling out your phone and responding.
"Hey Nate" you say quickly into the phone.
"Um hey (y/n) I was hoping to ask you a question" he said with a small chuckle.
"Yeah what is it" you asked finally sitting up.
"I was wondering if you didn't have a date to prom already that you would go with me" he asked through the phone. You smiled to yourself lightly before responding with a yes.
"Ok then I'll talk to you later then" he said into the phone. you responded with a quick yeah and hung up the phone.
"So what did Nate have to say" Austin asked leaning up so he was sitting next to you.
"He asked me to prom" you said with a small smile. Austin's face quickly falls and you don't know why.
"Why are you upset" you ask him. He slowly moves his head aside so you can't look him in the eye and you become very confused.
"If it's because I have a date now and you don't I'm sorry Austin" you said grabbing his hand and entertaining his your fingers. You heard him sigh and he seemed to have relaxed a bit.
"It's not that I'm happy for you" he said looking up at you and giving you a fake smile.
"Austin I've known you all of my life and I can tell you right now something's bothering you" you ask turning more so now your facing each other fully.
"There is nothing wrong" he said laying back and resting on his head board. You quickly adjusted yourself so you were straddling him, your hands were pressed against his chest while his hands came to rest on your waist.
"Tell me or I'm gonna have to force it put of you" you say looking him straight in the eye. He just continued to tell you it was nothing causing you to go to extremes. You quickly lean down and press a slow kiss to his cheek right by his mouth before moving your mouth towards his ear.
"Tell me Austin"you whispered right by his ear before placing gentle kisses on his neck. A small moan escaped his lips and you knew he was about to crack, but right before he could say anything the front door opened and closed singling that his mom was home. You two sat in silence for a few minute before you decided it was time to go. You two made your way down the stairs passing his mom as you walked towards the door. Austin placed a quick kiss to your cheek before you headed out the door and a few doors down to your house ready to call it a night.
