When She Runs

Chapter 7

Rayne's pov

I woke up to Anton saying Jenny and Jack was at the house, asking for me. When they came into my room I asked Anton to give us some privacy, he just gave me a look. I know that it means to keep them out as little as possible.

"Hey guys." I said as I greeted them.

"Hey are you okay?"Jack asked coming to feel my head.

"Yea I'm fine just not feeling well. So what are you guys doing here?" I explained to them.

"We just wanted to check on you and tell you that we'll be coming by after school with your work." Jenny said.

I groaned, "Really Jenny you had to bring that up!?"

They both just laughed at me, and then Anton came up saying that Jenny and, Jack better get to school. Now it was their turn to groan, and I just started laughing. When I looked up Jenny and Jack were glaring at me while Anton was smiling. When Anton came back up he gave me some breakfast and left to do some work. I ate my breakfast while watching a marathon of True Blood.

I was almost done watching the season 2 when I heard yelling from downstairs. I looked at the time and saw that the school would be getting out and the guys be would be heading over.

"Well I better go down and stop this before anybody gets hurt." I told myself.

I walked downstairs to find my dad yelling at Anton. My mom saw me and came running to hug me, my dad stopped yelling and came to give me a hug too.

"Whats going on?" I asked. They all looked at me.

 I rolled my eyes "What the HELL is going on!!!!" I screamed at them. They all flinched back.

Anton was the first to speak up. "I found out from my men that he will be here in a couple of months...his parents has to put a few things together first."

My father picked me up and put me on the couch that's where I started crying. my mom started yelling at Anton, and saying she wanted more protection for me. There was a knock on the door; I was going to go answer but I couldn't move my legs, because they felt like the would break any minute.

I heard someone gasp and say 'that's her mom and dad'. Anton and me looked at the doorway and saw Aiden, Pete, Jack, and Jenny. My mom stopped yelling at Anton, and her, and my dad looked up, and saw them.

"Rayne who are they?" my dad asked.

"Their my friends. They helped me unpack and before you ask mom they told me they didn't care about my money." I told them. They nodded

"Anton why don't we continue this conversation in my study and Ray you might want to tell them. They will probably be a big help." my dad said. Mom, Anton, and me looked at him like he had three heads. He just looked at us and shrugged. I gave a big sigh and nodded my head at him. "Oh and if you want to stay they night that's fine by me if your parents are okay with it."

"Daddy are you feeling okay?" I asked him sweetly.

"Yes why?" He said confused.

"Well darling when we found out something as big as this you just stay at work, and lock Rayne up. And now you just said her friends could stay the night." My mother answered.

"Okay. Let me say this again lets go to my study and talk. Ray tell them so they can help. Oh and sweetheart don't think me and your mother know about the nightmares coming back again."

And with that they walked upstairs. I glared at John, Mary, Sarah, Erin, and Noah. They walked away pretty quickly. Jenny, Pete, Aiden, and Jack all stared at me waiting for me to say something. "Come on I'll explain in my room so there aren't ears listening."

I walked upstairs and heard nothing going on in the kitchen where they all had gone.

"Wow you weren't kidding when you said ears listening." Pete said. I just nodded.

"Stay away from my room." I yelled into the kitchen. That's when I heard pots and pans falling over the kitchen floor.Everybody laughed but me. I felt a hand at my waist, and saw that the hand belongs to Aiden.

"You looked liked you were gonna pass out so I thought I'd give you a hand walking up the stairs." He explained.

 I gave him a small smile. We heard 'Awe's' Aiden gave them a look while I just blushed, and looked away, and I caught Jenny eyes, she gave me a knowing look. She mouthed to me 'you like him'. It wasn't a question it was a statement but I shook my head no anyway. I knew Aiden was feeling something for me but I just didn't have any feelings for him. But when I looked into Jenny's eyes I saw a look of determination. I knew that whatever answer I gave wouldn't matter to her anyways, because she would try to force us together. I knew I couldn't let that happen, not with him coming to town.
