Chapter 16

Kelly's P.O.V

I tried to run but I couldn't see.

Everywhere was dark.

I felt something claw my leg.

I screamed but made no sound.

I ran not knowing where I was going.

I saw a light.

Very dim.

Very small.

But still there.

'Stop. Come no closer.'

I did not know who the voice came from.

Nor did I actually hear the voice.

It was in my mind.

Nothing outside me made a sound.

It was absolutely silent.

That's what terrified me.

I felt the clawing once again.

I looked down to see glowing yellow eyes.

'You receive only the pain you deserve.'

The voice again was only in my head.

I was pulled onto the floor.

The only sound I could now hear we're my screams.

Somehow they were the only audible noise.

I was being dragged.

Farther away from the light until I no longer could see it.

I stood up and tried to run.

Once again I was on the ground.

My legs being scratched.

I swear they were being clawed off by something.

It stopped.

'I am you.'

The yellow eyed monster hissed.

This time actually audible.

It is me?

What?

'I am the voice you hear. I am what you think. What you dream. What you see. What you believe. I am who you are.'

I could not speak.

I could only listen.

'You believe he is here to save you? He finally came back for you?'

Yes.

'He left you once what makes you so sure he won't do it again?'

Will he?

'You don't even fully believe. Of course you don't! I mean its not like he cares for you or anything.'

He does. He's my best friend!

'He's a traitor who left you! He ignored you when you needed him! He left you sitting there. Alone. The day you needed him most remember that?

November 12, 2011. You sat alone in your small bathroom. Waiting those stressful six minutes. When time was up you looked. You saw that little plus sign. What did you do? You cried. You called him. How many times again?'

Seven.

'Seven times. Seven messages saying I need your help. Please answer. What did he do? He deleted them and forgot about you! Just like he'll do when he leaves again.'
