Kelly's P.O.V
I shuttered as the chilled wind struck the side of my face but smiled anyway. A hoodie was placed over my shoulders and I smiled back at Louis who wrapped an arm around my waist as well.
"So... Katlin looked into your file." He made a noise in amusement and pulled me closer to him. "You were supposed to leave like weeks ago." He shrugged and I smiled, stopping him from walking by wrapping my arms around his neck. He laughed and hugged me back.
"It's no big deal Kel, I just didn't want my bestie to be alone." I closed my eyes and let out an appreciative sigh.
"I love you." I mumbled into his shoulder. He pulled back and rested his forehead against mine before he pressed his lips to mine.
"You have no idea how long I've wanted you to say that." I laughed into the kiss and pulled away from him.
"I think I do, actually." He smiled and took my hand in his before leading me down the sidewalk.
I smiled and looked around at the people and the sky and the cars that zoomed past us making that woosh sound. Everything looked so different, I never imagined how much I would miss it. We rounded a corner and ended up in a parking lot.
"Aren't you a sight for sore eyes." I had to restrain myself from bouncing in happiness as I saw Liam across the way. Letting go of Louis's hand I ran up to the brown eyed boy and hugged him.
"Liam! I've missed you!" I felt him laugh as he hugged me back.
"I missed you too Kel. I think we all did actually." I smiled, pulling away from him so he could say hi to Louis. Completely zoning out I focused on the road.
How complex cars are nowadays huh? They all have thousands of parts and if one little screw falls away the entire car could come crashing down. Kinda like humans I've realized. I never actually understood how fragile of creatures we are and how easily one thought, one false thought can spread like a virus does in technology.
Cars are kind of like us, they all fall apart sometime. Some sooner than others, some more often than others, but they always do. Slowly rusting or parts slowly fading to work, Some get fixed, some unfortunately aren't as lucky and are beyond repair or get crushed.
"What are you thinking about?" Louis laughed from beside me. I didn't look at him, but I saw him looking for what I was looking at.
"Cars and their qualities of humanity." I said almost too casually as if it was a normal thing to think about. It is now, an I'm probably not the first to make the connection. For some reason I quickly spun around sensing something, someone who I maybe hadn't noticed. "Who's that?" I pointed to the tanned girl with hair that was brown very... I don't know if it's curly or wavy.
"Danielle, Liam's girlfriend." I nodded, a small smile on my face as her eyes found mine.
"I like your hair." I shouted just incase I was too far away from her to hear me. Which obviously was not the case as she laughed and replied normally.
"Thanks, I like yours as well... It matches your look well." She smiled as she approached me. I looked at Louis quickly to see he had a proud look on his face. Yeah he did my hair today.
"Well I am Kelly and wow." I paused feeling that little nagging in my head but it was quickly pushed away. "You're much prettier up close than from the road." She laughed and gave me a friendly hug.
"Your just full of complements aren't you?" She laughed and so did I but I shrugged as well.
"I don't see the point in not letting people know they're beautiful when they may never hear it, Or are told otherwise." She smiled and hugged me again. I stood there awkwardly, not knowing what to do at that moment.
