Chapter 1

I casually looked at my watch "oh um we have to get going" I grabbed romans hand "mommy can we do this again?" I shrugged "possibly" Ashley walked over to me giving me a hug. I patted her back awkwardly "well it was a nice meeting you. I hope we can do this again" I nodded. I don't ever want to come over here again. "I'll walk you guys out" Cameron offered I clenched my jaw "let's go then" I said as politely as possible. He opened the door for me and I walked quickly to the front door opening it "good bye" I snapped harshly at him. I walked to my car and Cameron was right behind me. I buckled roman in and closed the door walking to my side, but being grabbed by Cameron "what do you want!?" I pushed him away from me "look Jordan I know you have so many questions right now but-" I cut him off "no Cameron I did have so many questions, but you just answered all of them. I don't need this Cameron, not anymore, You are a coward" I got in my car starting it "Jordan please let me explain" his last words before I drove off. A tear almost escaped my eye, but I didn't let it. "Mommy are you okay?" roman had the look of curiosity in his eyes "I'm fine" I told him. As I was driving home, I realized that we didn't live that far from them. Literally just a few streets away. I groaned, at least they don't know that. I pulled into my garage and got out unbuckling roman, he ran inside the house while I took out my phone and texted the gang. We all lived fairly close, after graduation which no of us attended, we took a trip to Mexico for about 2 months in my madrina honor. We came back home and decided to move to New York. So here we are, living in the same subdivisions, and neighborhood. Its really weird to think that Cameron has been here this whole time and none of us knew, well at least I didn't. I heard the door open and I sat on my couch eating my jalapeño cheddar chips. "Hello" i glanced up seeing it was James "hey. Where is Steph?" Steph is his new boyfriend. James came out a couple years ago, no one really cared, we treated him the same way we always did. "He's at work" I nodded "IM HERE!" Rileigh yelled walking in with Ben. Teegan Austin, Ken, Tori, Landon and Zack showed up to. To fill you in, Rileigh and Ben have been happily married for about a year or two now. Teegan and Austin are still standing strong, Ken is pregnant and engaged, tori and landon are dating, they have been for a few months now. Hes a nice guy i guess. James and steph are happy. My little Lina is now 8 and she lives with Tina about 20 minutes away. "Okay why are we here? And where is roman?" Tori asked "he's upstairs and because I saw Cameron today" their eyes widened "are you sure?" Tori asked I looked at her "yes" they stayed silent for a moment "why is he here Ben?" I laid my head on James lap. I wasn't stupid, something wasn't adding up. He let out a loud groan "why do I always have to answer these questions" I was staring at my ceiling "okay fine look, he got out of jail on bail and was proven innocent" I closed my eyes "why didn't you tell me?" I waited for a reply "he told us not to. Figured you'd be better off with out him and something about protecting you or whatever" I chuckled "he isn't protecting anyone but himself" I said "listen-" Austin started "no, I'm tired of people telling me to listen, I'm done with cameron, I want nothing to do with him. Of course I missed him, but he obviously wanted to forget about me and move on, so I can do that same thing"

The next morning was the same routine as usual, I got up and got roman ready for school and I brushed my teeth and washed my face leaving my pajamas shorts and tank top on. "Alright babe let's go" I took His hand and we drove to the school "mommy don't embarrass me. Stay in the car" I chuckled "just for that, I'm going in" I got out of the car and took him holding his hand since he tried to run away from me. "Are you gonna miss me?" I bended down to his height he mummbled a yes "WHAT!"I yelled a louder smiling at him "MOM!" I laughed "yes I will miss you mommy now go" I chuckled "gimmie a kiss" he rolled his eyes and hugged me giving me a kiss "have fun, I love you" I stood up "I love you to mommy" and he ran into the building. I sighed and turned around bumping into someone I almost fell, but someone caught me by my waist "I'm so sorry" he quickly apologized I looked up seeing a gorgeous man, he had striking brown eyes and curly dark hair. "Its fine" I smiled at him and we just stared at each other until someone cleared their throat. I looked to my left and growled under my breath "I don't think kids should be seeing this" cameron butt in the guy chuckled "oh well, um sorry for bumping into you" he backed away "its fine, thanks for catching me" I winked at him "anytime" and he walked away I smiled and then I heard Cameron's voice making my mood alter. "So you made a new friend?" He said I started walking away "possibly, why?" I started getting my keys out "well he better stay a friend" I stopped walking making him almost run into me "first of all, who are you to tell me who I can date and whom I cannot. Second of all, I'm single as fuck, I can do whatever I want to. You can move on but I can't? Yeah right" I rolled my eyes and walked away. "But if he hurts you or my son-" I almost screamed "roman is MY SON, not ours, not yours, he is mine" I walked faster to my car being chased by cameron. I quickly got in my car and locked the door "JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!" I shouted at him and pulled out going to my house. I let out a groan once I made it home. I walked in and went to my kitchen to make myself some food. I ate then showered putting on leggings, and a shirt with my high top air force ones then went in my bathroom put my hair in a pony tail. I was grabbing a scrunchy hen I looked at my hand. I still had the ring on. I sighed and slid it off of my finger putting it in its box under the sink. I was going to a dance studio that I own, its something I've been saving up for, and this studio is something I'm really proud of, I actually felt like I did something right.
