WARNING things are getting heated

J O S H U A

Me and Oliver were strolling around the mall like the two idiots we are, looking for nothing in particular. Trisha had taken a picture yesterday on me and Oliver that I posted on my Instagram this morning. It was a close up where you could see Oliver kissing my knuckles while I smiled at him, the sky was painted blue and purple in the background and I loved how you could see the siloutte of streetlights behind us. Everything was like it had always been, except for Oliver being very shy and nervous. He wouldn't really look at me and he only nodded slightly when I asked him something. I tried to hold his hand but he awkwardly placed his inside his jean pocket. I shrugged it off at first, but when he continued being a nervous prick I started to worry, so I lead him towards a small coffee shop and sat down with him facing towards me.

"What's up?" I tried casually and sighed when he only shrugged, nervously tugging at the end of his jacket. It's been almost a week since graduation and the prank war ended. We haven't really ended it officially but everyone's been busy doing their own thing. Me and Oliver had been hanging out on Wednesdays like we had always done and we were now at the mall like we are every Friday. Oliver used to hang out a lot more with me, he even stayed the night sometimes. But I think that after this prank war ended he's been resting quite a lot, trying to get used to his new lifestyle including eating. I was very proud of him, he had already gained a few healthy pounds and he was on his way to get better. "Please talk to me, I'm kind of your boyfriend" I whined and hung my head low. Why wouldn't he talk to me? I already know almost everything about him anyways.

"Fuck, I'm sorry. You're right," he finally spoke and I smiled at him. It was nice hearing his voice again."We've got a gig, Josh" Oliver said and I gasped. This was his dream, being able to play his songs to the world, being able to inspire others.

"Babe that's great!" I stood up and went over to sit next to him on the sofa. I gave him a big hug and kissed his cheek. I was so happy for him, he was one step closer to achieve his goal in life.

"Thanks. It's just that, Matty was the one who made it happen. You know Matty? The redhead?" I was no longer smiling at Oliver's words, only nodding. Yeah, I remember Matty. Who wouldn't remember Matty? He was Oliver's ex from a few years back. With his stupid orange hair and tattoos, his stupid jokes and awkward personality. Of course I remember him, he was the one who was able to hold Oliver when I couldn't.

"Yeah, I remember Matty" I whispered, not daring to look Oliver in the eyes anymore. "So when's the show?" I asked and sat up straighter, wanting to forget all about the redhead.

"Tomorrow night. Will you come?" Oliver asked me, taking my hand in his for the first time this evening. I smiled at our hands and nodded.

"Of course I will"

Oliver spent the night at my house. We cuddled up and watched a Disney movie, not Peter Pan; we actually watched Finding Nemo this time. I might have given him a good-luck-handjob too. I don't really remember since alcohol was involved.

I knew exactly what to wear for today, I'd wear the shirt Oliver bought me a few weeks ago, the red Vans shirt. I'd pair that with some black ripped jeans and vans like the heterosexual I am. Hopefully Oliver would notice the fact that we're going to wear our boyfriend shirt, but just to give him a slight hint I had folded his Nirvana shirt and placed it next to mine last night when we were preparing for the small trip to the club Oliver and his bandmates were playing at. There were loads of hotels and other clubs around it since it was in the city, so hopefully there would be some important people at his concert.
