Veronica's POV:
It wasn't hard to catch up with him. So when we finally slowed to a halt, I started talking. "Is it really that horrible to talk to me that you had to run like 3 miles!" I said. He only stared blankly. "Let me tell you something. You don't get to be mad at me for finding someone when you never acted like you even liked me more than a friend. It's not my fault I moved on." I stated. I wanted him to say how he felt about me, but he only looked down. "It's too late." I whispered and walked away. He didn't stop me or beg to explain, he just let me keep walking and that's when my thoughts were confirmed. I didn't care anymore.
*2 months later* Farah's POV:
Arabela and I waited outside Zayn's bedroom door for him to get ready for dinner. I was even ready before him. Arabela and Harry were going to tag along too; they said they had something to tell us. We wore: http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=58... "Hurry up Malik!" I said. Finally in about ten minutes, Zayn emerged from his room leaving behind a puff of hairspray. "You look amazing, Farah." He said looking me up and down. I smiled and we walked into the living room to get Harry and we were off to some expensive seafood restaurant. Arabela's favorite. She never told me if her and Harry were official like online, they're just happy. I was a little scared about what they had to tell us since this place was so nice. We sat down and ordered and for a while we just chatted and joked until Harry and Zayn looked at each other as if they were fighting over who would have to bring the bad news. Harry lost. "So girls, we needed to tell you that we are going back on tour soon. Like next week and um we wanted to know if you guys wanted to come with us. Management said we could each bring one person. What do you think?" he said. I looked at Zayn giving him that "you already know I can't" look and his eyes drooped. I looked at Arabela and she had the widest smile on her face. She already knew she could go.
"You don't even have to ask me, Harry. DUH!" she said ecstatically. I sighed. What was I going to do? I knew my mom was going to flip if she knew I was giving up on UCSB for a boy.
"You guys already know I can't though, I've got school in a week. I'm sorry Zayn." I said quietly. He looked at me and smiled.
"It's ok, I'm just going to really miss you." He said looking into my eyes. I smiled. At least I have a great boyfriend like him who just understands. Once we got the food and Harry and Zayn had their fair amount of time playing with the lobster, Harry paid and we went back to their place. Arabela and Harry just went off to his room leaving Zayn and I alone in the living room. We sat on the couch and watched TV.
"Who are the guys inviting?" I said as I swung my legs on his lap.
"Liam's bringing Isabel, and I don't know who Louis bringing. I'm guessing Eva but we haven't even seen her in like months. Niall isn't bringing anybody." He said. I nodded. I wanted to tell him where Eva has been but I had to think about it.
"You want to know where Eva has been?" he nodded. "In L.A. with her sister, she said she needed time away from Louis to figure things out, I don't even think that was a good idea but she left, and we don't know when she's coming back. And I think Louis's really mad at her anyway." I said. Zayn looked at me.
"Really." I nodded. We sat in silence for a little while and then I said.
"I'm really going to miss you. Like you don't even know. IT's like for the whole summer I've spent every day here with you and it's just going to suck being without you."
"I know. And the tour moving all the way back to the U.K., it's so far away. I don't even know for sure how long we'll be gone but probably 6 months." He said looking down at me.
I sighed. "Maybe we could fly you out during spring break and we can hang out then." He suggested.
I smiled. "That would be great. Are Veronica and Niall still not talking?" I asked.
He nodded. "Yeah, I just wish they would kiss already." He said. I smiled and closed my eyes. I didn't think I could ever be happier.
