Emma's POV:
Noel came sprinting down the stairs holding her phone to the air. "Louis freakin Tomlinson is calling you!" she yelped as she jumped the last two steps and bolted into the study where I was quietly doing some work.
"Okay, give me the phone." I said sighing. I didn't want to sound excited because I knew Louis must be able to hear so I collected myself and put the phone up to my ear.
"Hello, it's Emma."
“Hey, this is Louis. I'm the guy who made you drop your phone in the gutter."
”Yeah, I'm aware of that." I said trying to hide my smile.
"Well, there's an apple store, I can pick you up and buy you a new one."
"It won't be too much?" I questioned, even though I knew he must have had an abundance of money.
"No, it's fine. It's my fault you need a new one anyway."
"Ok, I'll meet you there."
"Bye." And we hung up. Noel looked at me with a crazy look.
"OH MY GOD HE'S IN ONE DIRECTION! DO YOU KNOW THAT? AND HE'S GOING OUT WITH YOU! YOU KNOW HE BROKE UP WITH HIS FIANCE"
"Yes, hun, I know all of those things, but he's just a guy who's buying me a new phone. And it's not a date." I explained. She cocked one eyebrow before scampering off. It was like any other spring day in England. Rainy and cold, so I pulled on a dark blue jacket and some skinny jeans. I wanted to keep it simple. I let my black hair flow naturally down and pulled on my favorite pair of boots.
Once I made it to the store, it had already started to rain, so I quickly opened the door. There was Louis, standing next to some phones and talking to some fans.
"Yeah...Oh hey, there she is." Louis said as he caught a glimpse of me as I entered the store. The girls dispersed themselves as I approached him.
"You look lovely, unlike this weather." He ventured. I smiled letting him know I appreciated the gesture, but I wasn't here for a boyfriend.
"Thanks, well, let's get the phone and be done." We shopped around and I could tell Louis was trying to flirt. I loved flirting; I never passed up a chance to do that. So I innocently flirted back, it wasn't like I was going to get a date out of it. He was clearly hilarious and as we shopped, it kind of grew on me. We got the phone and we left just as the rain seemed to clear up.
"We should get some lunch. You want to go?" he asked eyes locked on mine. What did I have on loose?
"Yeah, sure." I shrugged. Lunch opened my eyes to the kind of guy he was. He was sweat, funny, and polite as ever. What's not to like about that. Obviously, this one-day wasn't enough for me to start dating him, but as he was walking me home, I decided he deserved a kiss.
"Well, thank you for lunch, and the new phone." I said slightly biting my lip.
"It was my pleasure, had a great time." He whispered inching closer to me I did the same.
"Was it a good enough of a time to kiss me?" I asked.
"Of course." He muttered as I stood on my tiptoes and wrapped my arm around his neck and I kissed him. It wasn't too long or short, just enough to get my point across. I liked him, and maybe we could make something out of this.
I winked before turning around into my house. Maybe I liked him.
